Episode 1: The AmountI think this episode's clue has already been revealed in another forum - but here were the clues that I used to come up with it: a) Rules at official website indicate that prize is over $1,000,000
b) When Jim exits his apartment the number outside is $1,045
c) In the last part of the show Regis Philbin says you are 15 questions away from $1, 045, 0000 (an odd millionaire amount)
d) From the ABC site, a pop-up window led me to another site where I downloaded the fax received by Jim from Silas - in the very first section of the fax there is an accounting error with $1, 045, 000 missing or unaccounted for
e)And the confirmation of this comes from the website www.dvmf.com (listed in opening credits of show) that says the amount is $1,045,000 Hopefully the clues will continue to be straightforward as I am hooked on the show already - even though I can't win because I am Canadian. I'd be more ticked off if I lived in Alaska or Hawaii - why are those states always excluded from contests?

Thanks for posting your insights.We try to keep things tidy here, so I just wanted to point out previously started discussion on the following thread that addressed the same points you mentioned: My 'Amounts' I Wrote Down A couple of us were thrown because we thought Regis said $1,025,000 - thanks for correcting us.
