LAST EDITED ON 04-24-02 AT 06:11 PM (EST) I'm just gonna repost this here because newer peeps are always asking about the chat feature: NOTE: The chat is Java-based - make sure you have this enabled. 1.) See the column on the left hand side of the screen? At the top under the Community heading is Live Chat (what are you waiting for? Click it!] 2.) Type in a user name where it says to. Remember:if you use spaces it won't display fully. (and please be honest when logging in ;) 3.) On the right hand side of the chat window, you'll see a room listing....you may have to scroll down but click on the rooms heading and go to AK's Blow Hole Bar & Grill 4.) People are usually in there in the later hours of the night (and it's always packed on Thursdays starting around 9PM ;).... 5.) Know that you may get hopelessly addicted to chat. 6.) Hey Kokoro, I just tried the chat room. It's great. It has a lot of great features that are annoyingly absent from other chat rooms I've visited. It would have enriched my experience, if I wasn't having a monologue! When is there heavy traffic? When are the best times to visit? Is the problem that people don't know it exists? If so try it, it is the best fully-featured chatroom on the net. Now if we could just get some people in there {hmmmmm}. Kokoro, I did everything you suggested, and I'm realy excited about chat, but even though I've heard the odd reference about it; nobody ever seems to be in there! To all the Mods: How do we promote it, and get some action going? Perhaps I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'm really excited about this more immediate and interactive aspect of SB, and would be willing to offer my help in promoting it? Any suggestions? Okay well from what I know - busiest times are around 9 PM + on Thursdays (you know why ;) It used to be busy all the time (seriously - there was always someone to talk to) but this was long ago (S2 times); It's changed since then.
