"mouse issues"
I think it's the mouse - maybe not.
I have a microsoft wheel mouse optical.
I was working in an Open Office document. All of a sudden, I was getting no action when using the wheel to scroll up or down on the page. After come clicks around, the wheel scroll now works.

Then when I try to right click - to cut and paste something - or to add a row, etc., it isn't working. I have to go to the 'edit' drop down list. Even here on RTVW, my right click gives me nothing.

Any idea what I have done? Is there something I need to re-set or is it my mousie?

BTW, I got a new computer here at work while I was on vac.
I'm still trying to find & change some things.
Like, I no longer hear the little beep when I change from caps to lower case or back.
And? the computer has built in speakers. Is there a way to turn them off (so that I don't hear 'you've got mail' every time I log into aol?

thanks bunches

There should be some sort of control panel thing where you can turn off noises.

AOL also has settings (both I think in the software and in the webmail that lets you turn off the You've Got Mail thing).

Was the mouse still misbehaving after you rebooted? Sometimes that will clear things out, but you might check the control panels for the mouse. It may also just have accumulated some dirt or gone bad over time if it is old.

I completely forgot about re-booting. I'll do that now.

Is the mouse wired or wireless?

If it's wireless, it might be time to change the battery or batteries.......
