"Recommended anti-spyware software"
Probably an IceCat question -

This latest round of adware/spyware attacks have been devastating. I can't currently sign in to RTW (or Hotmail for that matter) and am using a remote computer to send this.

I'm planning to scrub my C drive, reinstall everything and start over. I'm going to use Norton Internet Security 2004 for firewall, and spybot, ad-aware for detection and elimination. Is there anything I'm missing or should be doing?

Also... is there a password scrambler that I could use to defeat the spybots? Most of these programs seem to detect and eliminate, but not *prevent* the pests from installing themselves.

Currently I can read all thresds, but not sign in to post or check PMs.

Any advice would be appreciated.
