They live at a speed faster than the rest
Wild they are and uncontrolled
Constantly striving to take over
You don’t want to learn of their existence
That they are already there and growing
Found more by luck than by plan
But now plans are all that are left
Plans to remove them by surgery
Plans to find those that escape
Plans to track all the remainders
Plans to get through and be whole
Your dreams and your hopes, your ambitions
Set aside while you wage a cruel war
Life is so precious, so fragile

In the warmth of your family and friends. I wasn't planning to post, only to enjoy everyone's writing, which is just such a pleasure to read. Unfortunately, sometimes the words get inside and just will not be silent until you toss them out. ETA-Can't fix a subject, but it should have been FV - so many keys, so little time.
