"WSC2 (FV) Silhouettes"
This is the first poem I have written in 10 years. I will probably tinker with this some more; however being a total WSC2 DAW I'm posting it anyway

Silhouettes dance
across my bedroom wall,
Shadows racing
to obscure the faces,
Of loves never found.

Unable to harvest my own tears,
For my soil's run dry.
Yet the shadows offer solace.
For they are my lovers,
My only friends.

I have been caressed
by the hands of others,
Yet I cannot embrace,
For another love cast,
Upon the shadow
of past silhouettes.

If man offered an exodus from my solitude,
Would love be found?
Or would the shadows forever embosom,
Taunting those who wish to possess.

Well echogirl, you shouldn't wait for 10 more years to write the next one!
A sad poem, really well written. I enjoyed your work.

I love this piece, Echo. I can feel the despair in it. You've written a great poem, with some wonderful imagery. Rudy's right, you shouldn't wait another 10 years to write more poetry!

Edited because I can't write.LOL
