A Feel Good Race
Man, these All Stars sure do love each other. They're constantly helping each other out and cheering each other on. It's even making Brendon & Rachel act like regular people. And on television, no less! If this is the sign of the New Brendon & Rachel, then I say bring it on.
Watch them break my heart and collapse into a sobbing mess next week, just to spite me.

The Guys Have It
Some of these results are really bringing back memories of the first few years of The Amazing Race, where we would grumble about these alpha males always running ahead of the pack. It seems like TAR24 has been dominated by the male/male teams and most Casino Players are reaping the rewards. We'll see if this trend continues or if some other teams can break through that glass ceiling!
This week's Greatest Gainer Award goes to both taffnic and tribephyl, who both climbed 3 ranks overall. Very nicely done!
The Perfect Bet Award goes to a bunch of people that I am hereby dubbing the Double-Up Crew. Congrats to tribephyl, taffnic, louislam, MzTee, Chiubakka, and peppez, for their smart Jet/Cord wagers. Good job, crew.

New Feature - Ignore a Team!
Is one of the teams getting on your nerves? Are they finishing ahead of your team? Well, now you can just ignore them!
Each week, players may choose to ignore 1 team on The Amazing Race in the entries. By "ignoring" a team, you are essentially forgetting that they are even racing this week, and that team will automatically finish in last place for the week (from your point of view). And all of the other teams will move up a spot.
Now, why would you want to ignore a team? Well, think of it as a hedge. Let's say you're sure the trifecta of Jet/Cord, Dave/Connor, and Leo/Jamal are going to do well this week, but you only want to bet on two teams. If you bet on two of them (say, Dave/Connor and Leo/Jamal), you can ignore Jet/Cord. And if Jet/Cord happen to finish 1st and your guys finish 2nd and 3rd, you don't have to worry. Because, instead of results like this:
1st place - Jet/Cord (2x)
2nd place - Dave/Connor (1.8x)
3rd place - Leo/Jamal (1.6x)
etc.
In your delusional world, the results were...
1st place - Dave/Connor (2x)
2nd place - Leo/Jamal (1.8x)
etc.
8th place - Jet/Cord (0x)
That's right, the TAR Casino Game is officially catering to all of your little delusions. Your Dave/Connor and Leo/Jamal bets would score 2x and 1.8x instead of 1.8x/1.6x like they normally would.
But ignoring a team does not come free. There are a couple conditions.
1. If you ignore a player, you may not bet on them the following week. It takes a week to "remember" these teams again, so they're locked out the following week.
2. You may not ignore the same team in back-to-back weeks. As much as some of us would like to ignore Brenchel forever, you gotta keep rotating your ignore list. I'll put next to your score in the leaderboard which team you've forgotten about, so you know not to bet on them (or ignore them again by mistake).
3. You can't bet on the team you're ignoring for the week. Seriously, you know they're going to score 0x, so why would you want to?
4. When you ignore a team, you are paying for it in payout table points, starting at the bottom of the table. Obviously if you know your "ignore team" will finish 0x, so there would be no danger. So, I'll be subtracting a set amount of payout points from the bottom side of the table. This will work like the Booster last year, where I take the payout points from the last place available and move my way up.
This week, I'm charging .2x, meaning that 7th place would now score 0x as well. This price will vary each week, sometimes affecting the 3rd-to-last payout too, depending on how rich/poor everyone is getting.
You just signify if you're ignoring someone by saying "Ignore: Jet/Cord" or whoever.
TAR24 Teams Remaining

Good luck! Let me know if you have questions about how the ignore feature works!

Once again, I'm not sure if I've broken my game, but we'll see. I don't think these things through, sometimes.
