Done in By the Dance
Boy, The Amazing Race really loves making the contestants dance. It's seems to be a new trend on the show lately, to put the racers in whatever local outfit they want and then make 'em boogie. There are always at least a couple people who don't know how to bust a move. After "learning to drive stick", learning to dance is now a requisite for the show.
Luckily, Bopper/Mark only got non-eliminated, especially since they're pretty much the only likeable team left.
Week 9 Results

Neato.
Interesting week for the Casino, with a lot of different strategies. With the PAT game, there were people playing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places... But adding in the dare bonus table, there were plenty who were doing some kind of 1st, 3rd, 4th combos.
Scores were generally good overall, but the dare did mess up a couple scores. The PAT was largely successful for many, since Art/J.J. were a fairly common pick.
We did lose one more player this week to the dreaded 0x Monster, Wallflower66. The Bopper/Mark last place finish reminded me a lot of Joey/Danny... The team was really getting into a groove, finally notching a win, and then they plummeted to last. Weird stuff to be sure. As always, thanks for playing Wallflower66! Make sure to grab a couple complimentary cocktails in the lounge!
This week's Greatest Gainer Award goes to Weez, who gained an amazing 12 ranks, climbing all the way into the Top 10. What a huge week!
The Perfect Bet Award also goes to Weez, who scored a ridiculous 4.5x payout overall, largely due to a fantastic bonus-fueled PAT win. This really shows the power of the bonus multiplier, right there. qwertypie (3.47x) also a great week, as well as Starshine (2.74x) and alemattos (2.67x) both eclipsing the 2.5x mark. Nice job!

Profit Multiplier - 1.4x
michel has climbed into the lead this week, with KwietOne and beau_30 nipping at his heels. We're really coming toward the end of the line now, so it's nearing the time to make some huge moves. Should definitely be an interesting finish!
Week 10 Payout Table
1st place - 2x
2nd place - 1.6x
3rd place - Break even
4th place - .4x
5th place - 0x
Max Individual Bet - 725 points
I Dare You! I dare you to voluntarily take a .9x profit multiplier in the finale week! This means, should you accept this dare, you will only score 90% of what you would normally score during the finale leg. Just mention that you're taking the dare to accept.
Dare Bonus Multiplier - 1.3x (for next week)
So you're getting an extra 30% next week to lose 10% in the finale week. Seems like a slam dunk numbers-wise, but then again... The finale week is kind of the most important week for scoring...
Same or Different?
We've done a bonus game like this before, but this version is slightly simplified.
In this game, the object is to determine if each of the 5 teams is going to finish in the SAME rank as last week or in a DIFFERENT one. If you get all 5 of your predictions correct, you win. But if you get even one of your guesses wrong, then you'll lose your bet.
Same/Diff Payout Table
All 5 Correct - 4x
At Least 1 Incorrect - 0x
Max Bet - 250 points
Your wager is on the whole set of 5 teams, so it's an all-or-nothing thing. For example, a bonus bet might look like:
Bonus - 250 points
Dave/Rachel - DIFFERENT
Brendon/Rachel - SAME
Art/J.J. - DIFFERENT
Vanessa/Ralph - DIFFERENT
Bopper/Mark - DIFFERENT
Heck, you can even vote all 5 SAME or all 5 DIFFERENT if you want.
TAR20 Teams Remaining
Art/J.J.
Bopper/Mark
Brendon/Rachel
Rachel/Dave
Vanessa/Ralph
Good luck!

Argh, 2 minutes of racing time kept me away from having 1800 points. Ah well, it was worth a shot.
