LAST EDITED ON 12-01-10 AT 11:57 PM (EST)Whiny Nick
You know, it must've been so difficult for Nick to have to watch Vicki eat all of that food during the Roadblock. It was so awful that he refused to work on the Detour and kept his defeatist attitude to the end.
Oh wait a minute, it was Vicki who suffered through the Roadblock, not Nick. Silly me.

Responsible Credit Card Holders
This past week was the Loan Sharkin' game and, by and large, most people managed to turn a profit. Nat/Kat and especially Jill/Thomas were the most popular bets for the week, so most people did pretty well.
However, we did have two more players bust out of the game, bbenzenberg and sarah1234, mostly due to Brook/Claire's .5x payout not helping them cover the loan interest. Going for the loan was a good idea, but unfortunately it didn't pan out. Thanks for playing, both of you!
The Greatest Gainer Award goes to both KwietOne and Nume, who both climbed 8 ranks this week. These two were right next to each other last week and they continue to be! Nice job.
The Perfect Bet Award goes to Nume with a godlike 14x payout due to the loan game. Very impressive.

Yogi is only two weeks away from a clean sweep, but vennui is still right behind him. As we get closer to the final week, we all should start thinking about our "Final Jeopardy" wagering logic.
Week 11 Payout Table
1st place - 2x
2nd place - 1.8x
3rd place - .2x
4th place - 0x
And no, this payout table has nothing to do with the layout of the Loser Bonuses. I don't know why anyone would think that.
Bonus Game - Clock Game
In this game, players may place a bet on how large Nat/Kat's lead is over Nick/Vicki upon leaving the pitstop. Or, in other words, how much time did Nat/Kat beat Nick/Vicki by in the previous leg? This is going to be based off of departure times from the pitstop at the opening of the next episode.
Remember, Nick & Vicki took a 6 hour penalty, so you'll want to factor that into your guess. If you think Nick/Vicki were 2 and a half hours behind Nat/Kat (before penalty), then your guess would be "8 hours, 30 minutes".
But how close does your wager have to be? That's really up to you.
You must choose the level of risk you're comfortable with. Every wager must be accompanied by which Payout Table you're playing off of. The smaller margin of error, the higher the payout will be if you're right. Use the following codewords to label your wager.
"Cautious" (60 mins)
Off by 60 mins or less - 2x
More than 60 mins - 0x
"Risky" (30 mins)
Off by 30 mins or less - 4x
More than 30 mins - 0x
"Dangerous" (15 mins)
Off by 15 mins or less - 8x
More than 15 mins - 0x
Max Bet (all tables) - 40 points
Number of Guesses You Can Make - 1
A sample wager may look like:
Bonus Game - 40 points (Dangerous)
8 hours, 16 minutes
Therefore, in this example, if the time difference ended up being within your 15 minutes range (8:01 to 8:31), then you win. But if, say, they were 8 hours and 32 minutes apart, then you'd lose it. You probably should've played "Risky" instead.
If TAR doesn't show all of the departure times leaving the pitstop (which sometimes they do) then all bets are a push and you'll get your points back to use next week.
Also, one last thing. Whoever has the closest time to the actual time will get an additional 100 point bonus. If there is a tie, then the 100 points will be split between both of the players.
TAR17 Teams Remaining
Brook/Claire (+0.4)
Jill/Thomas
Nat/Kat
Nick/Vicki (+0.1)
Good luck!

They've been skipping over the departure times a lot this season, so I was hesitant to do the Clock Game. But with Nick/Vicki's penalty, it seems like a safe bet that we'll get to see it. Who knows, though.
