Man, you'd think betting on the outcome of this show would be a lot easier with the racers running through our Casino, huh? It was kinda neat seeing the season wrap up in Las Vegas. It seems like a really appropriate ending for this game. I'd like to think that it was the whole reason they ended in Vegas. I certainly can't think of another explanation.

The Finale Bonus game was to guess which player would say the word "million" first and it was Cheyne, who said it in their taxi after arriving in Las Vegas. I was surprised that it took that long, actually. It's much more exciting when they wait, instead of saying it during the first confessional.
The Perfect Bet Award goes to none other than dragonflies who sextupled up (sixtupled?) with an All-In bet on the Bonus Game. A gutsy play for sure, but it definitely paid off!
The final Greatest Gainer Award goes to both vennui and FFantasyFX, who both climbed 7 ranks in the final week. Nice job!

In the end, it was taffnic who claimed the gold this year, after a smart Meghan/Cheyne final wager. taffnic's rise to #1 was a really interesting one, in that taffnic started the game relatively slow. The Week 1 bet actually netted +0 points, and taffnic started out in 34th place (out of 42). However, each week, taffnic slowly climbed up the charts. taffnic truly proved that you don't have to start out at the top to finish on top.
So how did taffnic do it? In Week 8, taffnic scored huge in the PAT Bonus Game, being one of the few who identified FlightTime/BigEasy, which pushed the ranking from #11 to #2 overall. taffnic claimed the #1 spot with a perfect main game wager the following week, and never looked back.
Congratulations on a game well played, taffnic. You're now in the Casino Game Hall of Fame!

Snagging the Silver Medal this year was ARNutz, while the Bronze Medal went to, um, Jims02. Each player was a contender throughout the season, and both occupied the top spot at one point during the season. Great game, ARNutz!

Ultimately, it's the players that keep the Casino Game going, so I am thankful for every player who participated. You guys are great!
I really enjoy hosting the game and I'm happy that people like playing it. I've been doing this so long now that I can't imagine the pre-Season5 days of not playing the game while watching TAR. It's also fun to have the fun little rivalries throughout the season. The two weeks I was #1 this season, I had michel nipping at my heels. It seems only appropriate that we finished next to each other in the rankings.
I am always looking for ways to keep the game fresh from season to season, so if you have any ideas, comments, or suggestions, give me a heads-up in this thread! I'm always looking for new gimmicks and bonus games.
Anyway, I've been going on and on and on. See you guys next season!
