I was channel surfing and wiped out on MTV. Too weak to change the channel, I guess. Too stunned to look away. It was trashy, outrageous, and yet there was a strange familiarity. Here's the thing-at the dawn of time I went to the Jersey Shore. I stayed in a summer rental as a guest twice. Seriously, once was too much. The guys in the house were fighting in the middle of the night, throwing each other down and punching each other enthusiastically while the landlady screamed up the steps "DON'T MAKE ME CALL THE COPS, YOU A$$HOLES!" The drinking, the drama, the HAIRSTYLES! The more things change the more they stay the same. I watched Jersey Shore last night.
