"I get that a lot."
Watched this show last night. The premise is they take celebrities and have them do normal jobs. Last night they had Snoop Dog as a parking attendent, Rachel Ray as a worker in a dry cleaner shop, Paris Hilton as a gas/convenience station attendent, and Julie Chen as a yogurt shop person. At first they pretend they aren't who they are and when someone says you look like "name of celebrity", they say I get that a lot.

Show was terrible, but there was one funny part. When one girl at the yogurt shop said to Julie that she looked a lot like her, Julie started to play around. She said that the real Julie Chen is more robotic and then she said you know they call her Chenbot. My DH, DD, and I were howling. At least she has a sense of humor about her robotic like moves.

Julie stole some of my enjoyment of BB last night. She referred to herself as Chenbot and made fun of her robotic like demeanor.

What's the use of trying to kneecap her with wicked humor when she doesn't seem to mind?

One episode and I'm already sick of that phrase.

Yes, her making fun of herself makes me kind of like her so I guess that is a bad thing.

The phrase did get annoying, but I doubt I will be watching again. It really wasn't that entertaining.

A one trick pony. After the first (Rachael?) clip, each encounter was essentially the same. Simmons and that short girl were funny, but my curiosity is satisfied, and I doubt I'll watch it again either. Hilton continues to bore the heck out of me.

How long can this premise continue to surprise people? Especially if the stay in LA? Once a few episodes air, many/most people will begin snap to what's happening and won't be fooled. Ironically the more popular this show becomes the more impossible it will be to get good video clips.

I believe Rachel Ray was at a dry cleaner in New Jersey. When one customer was doing his confessional outside, you could see the area code on the dry cleaner's truck.

And I think that they said Tony Hawk was at a surf and dive shop on Long Island.

You're right, though, they won't be able to continue to fool people, no matter where they do it.

The show was cute. There was nothing else on TV and I caught the show while I was on the computer. I though Gene Simmons was pretty funny but there's no way I was fooled by him. I thought Paris was pretty good. But I don't know Tony Hawk or Snoop Dogg that well so I probably wouldn't have known what was going on if I were their customer. I also don't know Julie Chen by sight but I probably would have suspected something if I were in that ice cream shop. Her segment was obviously set up more than the other celebrities' segments.
