be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other

Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"Pit Bulls and Parolees... LOVE IT!" |
Cesar Milan would be proud! Even if this IS on Animal Planet and not NatGeo, he would still be highly impressed!I have to say, I cried through most of this show, having seen it for the first time last night. I am just a huge softie for animals, especially of the canine persuation! And seeing them being treated so lovingly by a group of men who are on parole for various crimes...well, it was just touching! The setting is a 10 acre ranch somewhere in No. California (that's my guess, anyway. Don't quote me.), called the 'Villa Lobos Ranch' where this woman (darn, can't remember her name), who is married to a prisoner, houses 2 daughters, a set of twins that she took in, several cats, a myriad of mix-breed dogs, and half a dozen parolees to help out. Along with that, their mission in life is to rescue Pit Bulls who have been abandoned, abused, otherwise thrown to the wolves. They focus on Pit Bulls and Pit Bulls alone. And have, I'd say about 40+ in kennels that they take care of every day, and try to rehab and adopt out. I know there are rescue centers for dogs all over the country, including Dog Town, but something about this show really reached in and grabbed me! I guess all I can say is, if you are a dog lover, and believe in 2nd chances for them as well as people, this is an amazing show to spend an hour with! It's a feel good, feel sad, feel good again kind of show! I highly recommend it.
