PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

I am working with A&E and their new show, Obsessed, a show that aims to raise awareness and understanding about anxiety disorders and phobias. These disorders affect and estimated 40 million adults in the U.S., greatly impacting their daily lives. We’d love your thoughts on the issues, and any feedback on the show.

While I believe it is an interesting show, and very valuable for those who deal with these problems, I also have a complaint about one of the people who was showcased on here. She only went by initials, and darn, can't remember them! TK, JK, something like that? I had seen her on The Dog Whisperer, and nothing had ever been said or even remotely hinted at that this woman had any obsessive problem. She was there to learn how to deal with a dog she had adopted. Yes, she was a bit 'off' in the episode, and maybe just didn't feel ready to let the world know her problems, or it just wasn't the right time. I don't know. But IMHO, this person is a wannabe reality star, who is utilizing TV to get some airtime. Her entire personna, and the way she over-reacted (drooling, vomiting, etc) when taken to the homeless dog shelter, was just too much for me. As a nurse, I totally understand that people do suffer from these disorders. Although I am not a psychiatric nurse, and do not have a 100% knowledge-who does?-I think I can tell when someone is real and someone is not. I just don't think this woman was. To top it off, she was dating her shrink. How kosher is that??
