"Does it make sense - finally?"
Most of the things we've been talking about were out the window last night. Whitlow, Little Miss Face Time last week, survives, and Jackson, seemingly a lock for next week based on this week's face time, is whacked. Could they have re-shot the last 3 episodes since last Wednesday just to piss us off?

Anyway, forgetting about the week X / week X+1 theory, Jackson was obviously Doberman meat this week. Refusing to take his swimming lessons was a big mistake; maybe he just didn't want to blow up his pants.

I do think Whitlow thought her number was up when she was talking with Brown and Morettyyyyy. As the women agreed to whack (no)Action Jackson, Whitlow knew she'd be taken by Jackson. Brown did a lame job of explaining why Jackson should go, knowing he'd take Whitlow (and not her! saved again!). Whitlow looked like she saw right threw this and was contemplating calling Vito Corleone for help with Brown.

Why is it the best scheming always done at sand bag time? A pun by the producers? And, again the chore pairings livened up the back stabbing.

As for the dismissal, it is interesting that Morettiii voted with the women, while Wolf voted to save his butt (I don't blame him). I was specifically looking at Wolf when the DI asked all the Jackson voters to step forward; I didn't see Wolf turn to see who voted. If he had, he'd have seen that Morettiiii voted with the women. Something for Wolf to think about for next week.

Anyway, I think Jackson did just what he said he did in his choice of Brown; he was (stupidly) sticking up for the men. She was a threat to the men, and he removed her for that reason. This week's vote was the first to make sense.

1. "RE: Does it make sense - finally?"
Whitlow looked scared, VERY scared, on Dismissal Hill just prior to the vote and when Jackson went to make his farewell speech. Yeah, she knew that she was about to be gone. Jackson did vote for Whitlow, also... then took Brown. I'm not buying it that Jackson took her JUST to help the men. I agree that the vote for Jackson made sense, but the discharging of Brown did NOT make sense (unless, of course, the game is fixed. I commented on this in another post).

Speaking of the men, each of the 3 men voted for three different people: Wolf voted Moretti, Jackson voted Whitlow, Moretti voted Jackson. But I've waxed eloquent a'plenty on these so-called alliances in other posts....

What was "submarine watch duty"???

Wolf didn't need to turn his head hard to see who voted... He KNEW Jackson didn't vote against himself and he (Wolf) KNEW who he voted for. So for Jackson to be gone, it was pretty clear that Moretti voted against Jackson. And I'm sure Wolf was looking out the corner of his eye.

I would also venture to state that since surviving the vote when Meyer was waxed, Wolf has not seemed to have been very nervous about the whole thing... maybe he has been told, or has figured out, that he's earmarked by the producers to go long into the game because of his physical condition. We'll see next week.

Jackson's failure to get in the water can be compared to Jeff on Survivor II jumping off the IC pole for peanut butter, when Jeff knew that he was vulnerable at Tribal Council. Stupid, suicidal move.

Finally, did you notice the editing? Some of last week's previews failed to show up in this show. They also put the opening credits to show who the "jury" will be. The dogs barked a while, then hushed up, I noticed.

Whatta show, huh?

2. "Disagree with one point..."
The men had agreed to vote for Whitlow. The only one who kept his word was Jackson. Since Wolf didn't turn to see who voted for Jackson he may be under the impression that only the women voted for Jackson. He may even be thinking it was his fault that Jackson got the boot. If the men had voted as they had agreed we would have seen a tie with the 3 women voting for Jackson and the 3 men voting for Whitlow. Wolf could be thinking that the vote was 3 for Jackson, 2 for Whitlow, and the one he cast for Morretti. This is why it was a mistake for him not to try and see who voted for Jackson. His betrayal of the men's alliance was just as bad as if he had cast a vote for Jackson like Morretti.

I must respectfully disagree with you for these reasons:

1) We didn't SEE Wolf turn his head, but he might have.
2) I don't think he NEEDED to turn his head, I think he could see out of the corner of his eye who did what.
3) I think Wolf had at least a suspicion ahead of time that Moretti was going to vote with the women, hence Wolf's vote for Moretti, kind of a "I know what you did last summer in the vote" move....

I think the shot of the dog was from the local pound, and the barking during the mission was from loudspeakers. Or, they fed the mutt 400 pounds of steak prior to the mission, and then kicked him the balls to make him bark for the camera. Then he went back to sleep.

And, where was DI Taylor? She knows sick, and she was sick? Were the others just holding her up on the hill?

Am I mistaken that the camp is on a lake, a body of water not usually known for its submarine traffic? More forced conniving (sp?).

It looked like Morettiiii gained some weight as he climbed the platform to get his hair cut. His sweats were a tad "puffy". I will say he has been the one recruit to stay out of the limelight this whole time. Not much face time last night, or any other for that matter. This could point to his winning, as we wouldn't "expect" it; of course, there's the contrary theory that Wolf with his mondo face time will win simply because we see him all the time.

Last night's show was the first (I think) that really showed the "Game" being played, and the dismissals made some sense.

I kinda liked it better with the bitten balloons, plethora/myriad of sushi and Katherine's leopard pants curled up on the latrine floor. "Get up! I can't touch you!"

Wolf/Whitlow next week (mission forced to fail), Morettiiii wins!

The submarine watch is just like being Barrack guard or any other useless duty the recruits have to perform. It was probably made to create more plotting like the sand bags duty.

I think yesterday show was pretty lame. It's like if there were no DI at all. The 6 recruits seemed to relax the whole time and the mission was not very physical. The hot bath thing was quite ridiculous considering that they weren't under stress.

I think the producers wanted to have the last remaining recruits in good shape for the finale, especially after last week show.

Here's a thought...

The producers are Classic Rock fans, so they forced Jackson to take Brown.

Jackson Browne.

I do know that Peter Wolf has a long lost brother named Whitlow, who's also a singer.

Next week, it's Whitlow / Wolf singing the blues.

I think Wolf goes next week too. I just hope it's Whitlow that goes with him. I would like to see the Morettiyiyiyis in the final.

Hey, I for one liked it better. I was tired of seeing DIs screaming at people. Irritating! I find the behind-the-scenes intrigue over who to vote for MUCH more interesting. That aspect was better than on the last few episodes of Survivor, where it hasn't been addressed much at all!

As for the jacuzzi--of course they're under stress. They're conniving behind each other's back, playing for half a mill. A LOT of stress in that.
