"Boot Camp is SOOOOOO Fixed!" |
Now I see why Mark Burnett is suing Boot Camp. Boot Camp really IS imitating Survivor in every way: they've fixed the game, also!!!Coddleton and Yaney are shown early on as best of buddies. Coddleton in the infirmary tells her fellow female recruits how to vote Wolf without repercussion if she (Coddleton) is medically discharged. THEN, of all people, Coddleton is voted out. SHE can take WOLF! No repercussions! But what does she do? She plants that knife firmly into the back of her buddy Yaney and yanks him!!! Getting a feeling of deja vu? Just retreat one week to Lauder being voted out. He voted for Jackson (a racially prejudiced move?), and earlier it was suggested to him to remove Recruit Brown. He says he doesn't like pushy women (a politically incorrect statement if ever one was heard, how DID that make it to the airwaves?) What does he do? Take admittedly-gay-and-anti-male-plotter Recruit Brown? Oh no. He takes HUTAK, of all people! And this after having a good long friendly conversation with her (Hutak) on the beach filling sandbags! By the way, I refer to Brown being admittedly gay only to show the point that the producers are not going to have the admittedly-gay recruit waxed early. Don't want the gay groups yelling and screaming, as PETA has at Survivor for Mike killing that drugged and domesticated pig! After Meyer and Wolf's "conversation" where Meyer blurts out to wolf that he (Wolf) is gone, Wolf then spots three females and goes to have a few words with them. The thing i noticed that just at the right edge of the TV screen MEYER IS STILL THERE! Yet he stays out (or is held out) of the conversation when it clearly would be in his best interest to stay there and stir up the pot some more. Sheesh! I truly believe this game is totally fixed. I don't think it's beyone the pale to suggest that Thomson's medical discharge was part of the fix. The number of guys and gals is even although by the nature of these alliances, that shouldn't be the case. The persons you'd expect to be voted off or taken by the bootee have only once followed some kind of logic: Haar took Pupo after Haar voted for Pupo at least once and maybe twice (my memory begins to fail me). It is not unreasonable to expect that the weak are going to go early. I expected Yaney to be gone, but not by being dismissed by Coddington. Hell, the DIs were even praising Yaney and he did nothing to really make the mission fail. If there is going to be a Boot Camp II, there had better be some major changes and fixes. This program is begining to suck. Big time. *** Contradictions don't exist. If you are faced with a contradiction, check your premises. Not only do I agree with you that this show could be fixed, but the editing is just plain stupid. Who cares about these people? I can't tell most of them apart. They have 2 recruits with the same last name. The dismissals make NO sense, so who cares??? They need to show SOME reasoning behind the dismissals. Codddington thought they voted for her because she would take Yaney with her?????? Where did that come from? Was she actually trying to screw the rest of them by taking Yaney, a non threat, and leaving Wolf behind to fight it out??? I spit on all of them!

Codddington thought >they voted for her because >she would take Yaney with >her?????? Where did that >come from? Was she >actually trying to screw the >rest of them by taking >Yaney, a non threat, and >leaving Wolf behind to fight >it out??? I spit >on all of them! >>You want the short answer? YES. I think once a recruit is dismissed by his or her peers, he or she is only thinking of revenge. At least that's what it appears. No one wants to be voted out--they're not only deprived of a chance of prize money, but they're publicly humiliated by being considered the weakest or least deserving one by their peers. Once they're voted out, their game is OVER. There's no need to continue with pre-arranged strategy or stick to agreements made with others (unfortunately not realizing how dumb they'll look on TV later.) Coddington was probably feeling pissy--even though she acted cool and collected. It's like, "These people betrayed me--they wanted me to do such-and-such, so I'll do the opposite." After all, why do them a favor after they kicked your butt out? Unfortunately, the idiot woman took the one person who didn't even VOTE for her--but she did make it harder for the three remaining women to win by keeping the three strongest men in the game. I'm convinced that's why Lauder took Hutak the last time, too. He wasn't going to choose Brown to please the men who dumped him. He chose someone HE felt like pulling--the woman who DIDN'T go along with the plan he proposed while they filled sand bags, remember? He tried to form an alliance with her, and it flopped, so he got his revenge. It's all about revenge. Too bad they don't interview the dismissers about WHY they're selecting the person they choose to pull with them. It'd make more sense then.

Here's a thought...Coddington took Yaney out as a "favor" to him. She thought he wanted out, so, being the friend she is to him, pulled him. Or, Yaney and Coddington had a conversation (which we didn't see) in which he asked her to take him if she was dismissed. Since the TV dudes only show us what they want us to see, this conversation could have happened w/out our knowing. And, except for Yaney and Coddington, all votes went for Coddington (I think). During the show, we saw no scheming and agreeing among the others to gang up on Coddington. It's amazing how all but two can vote the same without discussion (same as last week, if I'm not mistaken). I think the remaining six agreed somehow to vote out Coddington, the men thinking she'd take Yaney or another woman, the women thinking she'd take a man.

I agree with you, Thinking, about Lauder taking Hutak for those very reasons. Lauder was obviously ticked off that he was voted out, and he definitely did not go along with the plan to oust Brown. The ONLY reason I can think that Lauder busted Hutak was because it was HUTAK who told him to vote for Jackson. As to Coddleton, I am not buying it that she took Yaney out of revenge. Here's an observaton for y'all: It appears to me that Coddleton's speech was SPLICED TOGETHER. It SOUNDED like she was taking Yaney as the reason they voted for her, but it looks to me like something got edited out in the middle there. I've read some of y'all's very interesting discussions, but I still do not understand why Coddleton would pick Yaney. Yes, he might have asked to be waxed (where we didn't see it), but like you said, Thinking, these bootees are thinking revenge, not helping out!!! The only thing that makes sense is that Coddleton was paid GREEN DOLLAR BILLS to name Yaney and get him on out of there now that he's had his moment of fame the previous week. *** Contradictions don't exist. The show wants to try so hard to surprise us with who is booted and who they take... that it ends up making no sense to us. To hide all the reasonable conversations takes away from the game. And it is just a game. We want to see the little back stabbing conversations. Then it would make sense!

This is why I believe Whitlow is gone NEXT week. She got face time THIS week, and she was injured. When I saw her sitting out there while the other recruits were being physically destroyed for two hours, the producers featuring Whitlow at that moment was sooooo Survivor-like. Feature the person in Week X, they get booted in Week X+1. *** Contradictions don't exist. If you are faced with a contradiction, check your premises.
