Griffin said she didn't do very well on the ABC show, where seven celebrities try to figure out who among them is "The Mole." They must complete a series of challenging physical and mental games to earn money for the pot.
"I thought I would do much, much better," she said. "I thought I would cry less, I can tell you that. I thought I would get in fewer fights. I don't get along with people to begin with. So put me in a situation where I'm in a bathing suit next to a former supermodel where we have to jump off a cliff. That's a recipe for disaster."
This supports the spoiler from Kilborn that Frederique makes it to the second episode, since the descriptions say that's when the cliff diving will occur. We already had decided that Kathy makes it. Now, as for her statement that she didn't do very well...is this truth, or Molish misdirection? She's so competitive that I would think anything short of winning would be a disappointment in her eyes (especially among that group).

Me? The Mole? Ya think? Well, I AM Evil. I'm keeping an eye on Jims, though...and that sig. I'm not the Mole! I'm just psychotic about my sig space! Really! Since there have been all those "What If" games on SBlows, I've been trying to figure out a way to make up a Mole one, just for fun, but I can't think of any way the Mole would actually SABOTAGE something... Something different than the OT version, you know.

C-list celebrities, it seems, have decided that if they can't fight reality shows, they'll join them."I heard people on 'The Mole' saying, 'Well, I can be as entertaining as some normal guy on a reality show,' " said Kathy Griffin, one of the celebs on "Celebrity Mole Hawaii" (10 tonight, ABC). "It doesn't really work that way." An unabashed fan of reality programs, Griffin said she would never appear on one again. She expected a cushy, made-for-celebrities edition of the "The Mole" and was surprised to find herself jumping off a cliff. "It was humiliating and horrible," she said. "I would say possibly more humiliating than four years of 'Suddenly Susan.' I don't want to be in a bathing suit on television. I'm too old for that." With comedians Griffin and Kim Coles aboard, it just means a better chance for snappy repartee among the players, who include Corbin Bernsen ("L.A. Law"), Stephen Baldwin ("Biosphere"), Michael Boatman ("Spin City"), supermodel Frederique and quiet, shy teen star Erik von Detten ("Dinotopia"). "The beauty of von Detten," Griffin says in tonight's premiere, "is nobody knows if he's young and stupid or the Mole." Fans of "The Mole" should be satisfied, although I found the first episode pretty boring save for the occasional sniping. Griffin said she would have preferred to see more of the dirt exposed. "I think very concerned with the game," she said. "If it was up to me, there would be less game and more dish, more fighting and gossiping and more getting along and not getting along. I love that crap.... There was a time where I passed out, and they didn't put that in the show. I was like, 'Are you guys crazy?'"

My theory on why she's the mole:1. She's just that annoying that you wanna keep watching every episode just to see if she'd go home. 2. She is the only one supposedly nuts about the show, and so I would think she'd be the one to most want to play for little money (the salary the mole is paid.) 3. She's the most famous B list celebrity on the entire show. Umm... There may be more. Who knows? Of course number 2 could also mean she'd wanna actually play the game. However, the "celebrities" all probably would want the money *which they need after career flops* and need it. I would think Kathy needs it least. Of course, I don't know. Maybe I'm just being cynical. Watch her be the first one to be kicked off.
