PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are

Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"Guest judges" |
I guess it's been pretty well established that we are not too impressed with any of the regular judges except Tom, but what did you think of the guest judges this season? I used to LOVE Ming Tsai, but I was taken aback by his performance- he seemed crabby, arrogant, and looked unkempt- I would have bet he had a terrible hangover after about a week-long bender. I never did like Michelle Bernstain, with her big rubbery lips and her insistence on over-pronouncing spanish words. Lucky Ilan, spending time with her annoying #####. Why do they have to be so jerky? The old sushi chef was far more gracious. And the granola girl who judged during fat camp was all indignant and hell bent on kicking butt when she found out about the olive oil. Who did she think she was? Like the producers were going to leave it up to her to decide the future of the show! Puh-leeze!!! My absolute favorite was Anthony Bourdain- ironically, the snarkiest of all, but at least he was funny. His coinage of the term "Flintstonian" about Mike was an all-time classic. I also liked the guy from "Queer Eye". If you're going to make comments, at least be witty, and have an opinion that makes sense.

I liked Eric Ripert as a guest judge. I thought Marcel showed tremendous humility with Chef Ripert, "You need no introduction" Marcel said, and then Marcel acted as if he'd just been invited backstage to meet his favorite rocker. He was absolutely GLOWING to meet this Chef! I thought that was pretty cool. I also thought Ripert's comments were right on, without being cruel, and without the ability to taste the food.

I also liked Ted Allan and wouldn't mind at all seeing him replace that Gail person. He reminds me a little of Tim Gunn (Project Runway) in the way he actually seemed interested in the chefs, unlike Tom. Tom just does not connect well with these contestants --at all.

I always enjoy Anthony Bourdain and I was actually surprised to see him on such a conventional show. I love his show on the Travel channel-No Reservations.
