"Top Chef Just Desserts, Season 2"
Anyone watching? I only caught the last half of it last night, and didn't feel like staying up to watch the encore presentation to get the first half. I'm just happy that Johnny is back on my TV screen!

Since I didn't see the first half, I'm not sure how much Lina was really thrown under the bus, or if maybe she did insist on that much control and refused to make the witch's house be true to the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale. If that was accurate, then she did deserve to be the one to go.

I also wondered how much having 4 members on the team as opposed to 3 was a benefit, as both top teams had 4, and the bottom teams had 3. Or could either of the top teams done just as well without any one of their members? Was the extra pair of hands that much of a help, or they were all just that much better?

I watched! ...but I missed some of it too. Hopefully next week I can watch the whole episode.

I always hate the beginning of a season because there are too many chefs in the kitchen and I can't really get a feel for the individuals for a few weeks.

I do think the 4 members was a benefit in this case, but you never know, sometimes a bigger team could be a hindrance as you get too many egos together.

Yes Lina did take a lot of control & insisted that they make cake - and that they NOT decorate it in candy.

I think the teams w/ 4 had some advantage; extra hands working on the show piece would have helped both of the 2 bottom teams.

The extra members were the QF winners and had immunity, which doesn't always work out in a team's favor.

Thanks to tribephyl for the sigpic!

I watched, but only half way, like I do for the first few episodes of all of these shows.

I love Gail. As much as she has been on TV, she still seems slightly amazed by it all. I appreciate, that even though she is beautiful, she has a "real woman's" body.

Johnny has always been hot, but he seems like he has been working out. When he was at the Judge's Table in a suit and tie, he was looking pretty darn good.

Too soon to tell if this bunch will be a bunch of divas like the last bunch. I did see the competition that the two guys were previously in. It was a Food Network Challenge and I think it might have been a showpiece (chocolate? sugar?) that had movable parts.

Sad. I tried to watch this, but found it not so intriguing. I understand it's pastry chefs, but the whole "showpiece" thing escaped me. Did they do those last season? I don't recall that. In the end, shouldn't they be judged on taste alone? I don't know.

I did watch the finale and... didn't really care at that point.
