PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

LAST EDITED ON 01-11-03 AT 01:09 AM (EST)Here's an interview with him -- two reality shows in one year, what the hell ever happened to CBS' rule that you weren't supposed to have been on other shows, geez, is the talent pool this thin that we're already recycling... apparently Burnett didn't mind a few seconds of fame http://www.realitynewsonline.com/cgi-bin/ae.pl?mode=1&article=article1345.art&page=1
Following is an interview conducted with Daniel, who had reached the Top 25 finalists for WWF Tough Enough, but missed getting into the group that made it onto the show. Mike: Why don’t you start by telling us a little about yourself? Daniel: I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I went to Clear Lake High School and then after graduating I received a degree in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin. I returned to Houston to work as a Tax accountant for Arthur Andersen LLP, one of the “Big 5” accounting firms. I currently work for Koch Industries. Not all accountants are how they are portrayed in movies and TV! You know, bald on the top and pocket protectors. Those are the previous generation of accountants. Of course, you still can find those here and there. Mike: Are you a fan of reality television? Daniel: Huge fan of reality television. Mike: What reality shows do you like? Daniel: I watch shows such as Survivor, Fear Factor, Temptation Island, Blind Date and of course, Tough Enough. I tried to watch Big Brother, but I couldn’t keep watching after the first episode. I didn’t bother with Big Brother 2.

I know OFG will do a detailed post on the astrology (waves at OFG), but, for those who like this stuff (I enjoy it, to a point):Daniel is a Sagittarius. Too independent and/or blunt to survive the first vote? Archers generally fared well on Survivor by being adaptable, until S5, when Tanya and Jed both got the boot early. Also, if I am calculating this correctly, Daniel is the *only* person who does not have a sign-mate in another contestant.

http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/headline/entertainment/1734533"The way Daniel portrayed himself to us was as the great Asian hope," Jeff Probst, Survivor host, told the Chronicle. "He said, `You guys have not portrayed Asians correctly yet, and I'm going to do it.' I think what describes him best is that he's a self-proclaimed 98-pound weakling who transformed his body into sort of a bodybuilder, and he's really proud of that. He thinks that will give him a big advantage, having the will power to accomplish something like that." ... Neither Probst nor Mark Burnett, Survivor's executive producer, could say how far Lue advances on the show. The Television Critics Association was shown a clip from the first show, to premiere with a 90-minute episode on Feb. 13, and Lue figures prominently in the first immunity challenge. He has persistent trouble walking across a log while tied to a teammate and could be responsible for his team losing that challenge. The conclusion of the challenge was not shown.

I was reading his bio' and noticed that his luxury item was "Magnetic Rings."Have any of you ever been spammed by Alex Chiu and the "immortality devices" he sells? They are magnetic rings. Nothing more and nothing less. They guarantee extra vitality, strength and literally, immortality. Thing is, no one ever came back to get a refund after they died. So, knowing that a teammate not only bought them, but then actually put faith into them, would be reason enough for ME to vote them out. I would bet the farm this guy doesn't make it to the merger.
