Sketchy Behavior

Oh, Amazing Race, you've given yourself away now.

I remember the original Alvin & the Chipmunks movie from the 1980s. I was a child of that decade. I remember that race around the world was just a diamond smuggling operation.

They used to good at hiding the diamond smuggling on The Amazing Race, but it's so completely obvious now. I mean, they had the people dig up bags from the ground and deliver them to real life bandits. I mean, how much more obvious can they get?

What I can't figure out yet in this scheme is why they make the smugglers do the lasso tasks and stuff like that. It ended up causing Monique & Shawne to be eliminated, who were, I suspect, arrested by the feds on smuggling charges.

It's not a race... They're all running from the law!

Pretty solid week overall. Jet & Cord continue their dominant performance for the second straight week, while the usual sucky contenters (I'm looking at you, Louie & Michael) continued to be sucky.

We did have one player bust out of the game, Estee, who was done in by an overestimation of Monique & Shawne's ability to lasso. It could be worse, though. She could've been eliminated by a simple Kafka jumble. So there's always that.

The Greatest Gainer Award goes to both Yogi and CTgirl, who both climbed 11 ranks into the Top 10 overall. These two obviously got the same plane tickets for their trip to the top of the Leaderboard. Nice job, you too!

The Perfect Bet Award goes to kidflash212, beau_30, Snidget, Molaholic, and jbenz, who each doubled-up this week. Very cool.

Also, I've heard through the grapevine that all the cool people post weekly Lvoe Lists and comment on the public transportation on the show.
