Marty and his band opened for Jessica Simpson at a relief concert lastnight. The Marty fans said they were great. But it was definitely a Jessica Simpson crowd (parents with their little girls squealing). Some details I heard were that Marty was wearing the outfit from the RockStar finale and he looked great. But the fans were upset he wasn't wearing his eye liner. Marty was said to look very happy but exhausted. But some of the fans are worried about the band. The guys were introduced as Marty Casey and the Lovehammers. They were always just the Lovehammers before. And they stayed to do autographs after and everyone was screaming for Marty. So the band might be going thru a little bit of jealousy watching Marty get all the attention. But they could be just overwhelmed too. Marty also performed Mr Brightside all alone and the band wasn't on stage with him. Marty also did Paint it Black and blew MiG's version away. And after he did Trees he broke another guitar on stage. They said the mad conductor was back and he was wilder than when he was on RockStar but old fans of the Lovehammers say Marty's voice has definitely changed (improved).

Very cool. Thanks for the link Loree. Word around the Jordis grapevine is that she has indeed been signed by Sony. Nothing official though.

Think it's a great fit. While I really like what I've heard of Liar's Club, Jordis needs polished players behind her. Sorry but the members of her old band are really raw. She may have more fun traveling around with her buds, but for her to take it to the next level, this is just what's needed.

Her in studio as they tried to work-out "Try Not" was very telling. These guys are all very talented but also have ideas.

Here's what I'm wondering though, are they a band with Jordis as the lead singer? Or will the house band be playing with every contestant whom is choosen to go on the RockStar tour? They could be working on new material with several of the non-winners for the tour.

Either way, it was great to finally hear a little news on my sweet lovely Jordis

Suzie has also mentioned going back to LA to work with the House Band. So they may be working with several of the singers.

Great news, Jordis has that amazing voice and I always thought that she would make a great soloist. I am not sure if the INXS house band has any good songwriters and Jordis needs someone to write the appropriate material to bring out her talent. Even without the house band there are probably a thousand talented songwriters who would jump at the chance to write material for Jordis Unga.

Suzie has stated that she is singing some backup on the new INXS album. Well they always said they loved her voice.

ETA: Deanna is also adding some backup vocals for a few songs on the album Switch too.

I had heard that Suzie and her boyfriend broke up. I guess this is why....
