Then on Wednesday, Yahoo will debut it's pre-season interviews with the new castmates.

Yes, they are. Ties in nicely if the theme is going to be superstition. (And insults a lot of people who won't gather to sue for discrimination.) Kind of makes you wonder how the hamsters are going to derail this idea in Week #1...

It's a fairly hideous house this year: the ice cream room alone is going to induce fatalities. And we're on track for fourteen contestants -- assuming no one runs for it at the last minute.

We're on track for 14 contestants every year. The same wallboard shows up with it's 14 spaces every season. So it isn't the best indicator of how many HGs actually show up.

The way Jeff & Jordan had significant roles as challenge hosts? I'm not pressing the Dump button just yet -- but this adds a worrisome note to that Rachel rumor, along with a Plus One note for the invitation.

Julie Chen invited her fellow The TALK hosts to stay in the BB house with her a little while ago. Sara Gilbert has admitted she was so into the the show at one time she even had the live feeds. In an interview with TV Guide Julie Chen says that they will air footage of their stay in the Big Brother house on July 7. It's a fast forward edition of the game with a head of household competiion and nominations for eviction. It will air on The TALK.

It's a mix of new and old contestants this year. Eight new contestants will be playing with "Big Brother's most memorable duos". One of the interesting things about the new houseguests is that there are more over 30 people than usual. Two 39 year old men and one woman who's over 40.

They list possible duos on the CBS website:

Brendon/Rachel
Dr. Will/Mike Boogie
Jeff/Jordan
Jessie/Natalie
Evel Dyck/Danielle
Hayden/Enzo

Assuming 14 houseguests, that means we get three of the six duos. I am guessing Brendon/Rachel, Evel #####/Danielle and Jeff/Jordan.

Thoughts?

There will be 4 pairs of two. Gotta even it out so that it is 8 vs 8. Big Brother will want the "Allstars" to have an even chance...and go far into the game.

Interesting thing is that there are 5 past winners in those pairs: ChillTown won both Seasons 2 and All-Stars 1 (#7), Evel D won season 8, Jordan won season 11, and Hayden if he returned would be defending the title...

First I decided Grodner would really rip off EPMB and cast even stupider new people than usual in order to give the returnees a better chance.

Then I wondered what 'even stupider than usual' meant in terms of this show.

We are supposed to vote for our favorite partners. There will be people voting for Jessie & Natalie to return.

We must find these people and stop them.

Honestly would rather have Jessie/Nat over Brendan/Rachel, but you know it's coming. I just can not stomach Brendan/Rachel.

Oddly Jessie and Nat are the only "Couple" listed that can not stand each other....so from that standpoint it may be interesting.

But I see a conflict if they put in Jesse/Nat and Jeff/Jordan cuz, aren;t Jordan and Nat friends also so really Nat could team up with Jeff/Jordan to dump Jessie.

The concept of Natalie having a friend is a funny one.

Why isn't she paired up with Kevin? It's not as if he has enough of a spine to protest.

I do know Hayden & Danielle are scheduled to appear in Celebration, FL for the event I'm going to. *jumps up and down* It takes place July 28 -31st. That is not to say they will be entering later or sooner.

A: Just because Hayden & Danielle are scheduled to show up someplace means precisely jack $hit. Coach was supposed to attend a premiere of a movie he was in a few weeks back, and he no-showed. So that is hardly indicative that they will or won't be on BB13.

B: I'd give my left nut to see Chill Town take on Evil D1ck & Daniele. Yeah, Will & Mike both won, but so did Evil D1ck, and I bet he can take those 2 clowns on quite evenly, thank you very much.

The more I look at this poll, the more I suspect it's designed to be ignored. The main factor is this: house entry date. While we could have two stages separated by a few days, it's more likely to have everyone in the cage within hours of each other. And since they're usually confined for about a week before the first episode airs...

Previous experience puts that at about right. This is the one chance the editors have to (badly) foreshadow and (poorly) put a story together: they won't want to pass it up. And stalling out the boomerangs by a few days is unfair to the returnees (go ahead and laugh) as it lets the newbies align against them. With majority, although that means very little in the cage. So if the poll gets enforced, it'll be a quick and dirty sample survey. And believing Grodner cares about what we think... hello, Pretty Much Every Bloody Cast Of Future Convicts Ever.

For what it's worth, Hamsterwatch thinks they're moving in Sunday. Less lead time than usual, but enough to work with.

Yeah, all they really need to do competition wise is the Blow-out-the-budget-initial-HoH for the first show...

1. They found an interview with Grodner that suggests not only the title, but that the duos going in may have already been picked. (My read of their discussion -- I didn't listen to her drivel.)

2. Brendon and Rachel just pushed back their wedding date. (Yes, they're getting married. Until they're not.) They had originally been scheduled to wed on September 3rd -- in season. So they're expecting to go in -- or may be confirmed already.

And the poll on the official site is to solely gauge interest.

I think we can count on Brendan/Rachel and Jeff/Jordan being in the house. I'd also lay money on Dick and Danni being chosen as well.

I would love to see Will and ... well just Will.
And Nat and Jessie must be a joke.

Daniele has a prior commitment of her own: she's supposed to be cohosting the latest Internet BB official show (Rumor Central -- how is it a rumor when it's said on the feeds?) with Ragan 'I Will Make A Critical Decision Any Minute Now' Fox. But it's not as if she'd have much trouble getting out of that one. Or they could leave her in the cheap seats and keep the 'notorious pairs' theme going by giving us Fun With Dick And Jen.

If that thought just made you nauseous, imagine how Dick feels.

Dr Will and Boogie are not going to be in the house. Dr Will posted yesterday on his blog about it. He has no plans of doing anymore BigBrother and does not want to leave his son Cash. He also told what Boogie was doing and they are both busy all summer. He went into great detail of what he was doing and seems very busy.

More proof that the poll truly means nothing -- but it also represents the passing of our last, best, and arguably only hope.

I love Jordan, hurricane-brain though she is, but if the price of having her on again is having to see Jeff again, I'm not sure I want to pay it. And no way do I want NataLIE on there again.

According to @CBSBigBrother, the hammies are now in the house.

and of course they're teasing the "Dynamic Duos" from the past who will enter soon.

The eight new hamsters either all have preexisting relationships or have been paired up by the show. No word on whether there's been any change in prize money if a pair gets to the end together.

Returning duos are Dick & Danielle, Brendon & Rachel, and Jeff & Jordan. (Ragan had his first Rumor Control show with guest host Annie and claimed Danielle was out with avian flu. It's the hollow bones.) Supposedly Dan & Memphis were at the house opening, but got sent home faster than Brian. Or there was a competition to get in and Memphis went to his first/only move by throwing it...

Rachel won the first HoH. The scratching at the wall of hamsters begging to get out should be audible for miles.

I wonder if that means that the first HoH was a quiz-related one then? That is the HoH type that she won last season.... (Of course, then again, the only other HoH she participated in was the infamous Hot Dog Team HoH...)

Everyone pretty much figured it would be those six from the start, especially since Grodner's memory has a hard time going back six minutes and six seasons was a little much to ask for. I've also read various rumors that Brenchel have broken up, and that it was Rachel herself who got between her and HER MAN. If that one were true I bet 2 1/2 months in the hamster cage would be REAL interesting with those 2 in it.
