Dislocated knee girl couldn't make it, and Exorcist guy was injured in a car accident and couldn't make it either. If they make it past this round they get a key and a chance to rest, otherwise will go home immediately. Adam, tWitch, Mary, Nigel, Jason Derullo joins them. Solo round begins. Malece Miller. Lots of gymnastics and floor, no feedback from judges. Montage of some of the next dancers. After 5 they deliberate. Malece stays and takes a break at the pool. More solo give a brief montage of people that made it and pool/hotel footage. Donovan Gibbs. Parents had to keep the studio or the house, kept the studio. Donovan is sent home. Gave up everything for dance, and montage of others heading home. by 7 pm 53 are sent home. 7:30 one left to go. Fikshun, from Vegas, so not far to go if not let in. tWitch is into it. Lots of the street dancers making it through early on. But then for others the challenge was too much. 11 am Shanshan having trouble in rehearsal. You didn't nail it, but you stayed in it the whole time, doing something kinda swag so through to the next round. Sonya has an announcement. Wants them to practice all night then perform in the morning. 10 pm fatigue starts to set in. Armond losing focus and wandering off and Malece running out of patience, final run through he drops her on her head and the ambulance comes. Day 3 starts. Hannah Simone joining the judges. Nigel has an announcement. The expectations are high with the amount of time you have had. No mistakes. First Group. Judges loving it. Fikshun is through with high praise. Amy, are you kidding me is through. Everyone raising the bar for the next two hours. Jade and Sydney having problems. Asks if she can change partners. Sonya lectures her. Jade works on the choreography alone. Pair mended after a night of rest. Jade, good attempt, doesn't look right on you, dance for your life. Sydney, heard the stories. Never call anyone out in public. Don't blame you, but have to fight any way you can. He wasn't a great partner, you are through but created a bump in the road for yourself. Other ballroom dancers shine as well, and surprising standouts. Casualties as well, Tommy goes home. Sydney doesn't make it although Jade did. That is it for ballroom. Up all night last night, tonight is group night. Put into groups and get a CD at random. The heroism and acts of kindness in the aftermath of Boston bombing. Damn my eyes are leaking. Looks like the judges have some of that going on as well. They are all through. Group Two Fact with a little Fik-shun. Derek decides to go to bed for a couple of hours. then just goes out to have a cigarette. Seems messy to me. Mary says it is a hot mess. Adam says it was terrible. 1:34 seconds. Step back, a long way back. Derek, end of the journey. Crystiane, also end of the road. Viktoria, Jarvis, Jasmine, Fik-shun, that was not good enough but we see something in each one of you. Send you to the next round. Montage, prove they can shine together. Armen redeems himself. 1 pm final group. Hot mess that was. Nigel says juvenile. Lots of debate going on with the judges. Vitaly lot of awkward moments. End of the journey. He punches a wall. Bad news for Sarah, Three make it through. Final round coming up, contemporary. Separates the men from the boys. Jennifer and Misha, didn't get enough votes, either of you. He is taking the blame for her not making it. Bad news continues montage. And they are arguing with the cuts but no avail. Jade's performance group. Again asked to dance for your life. Stacey to make the call. Tapper Curtis Holland. Connected with Wayne Brady. He's crying while they are deliberating. and he is losing it. you need to get some sleep, we don't want to see you crying when you come back later. He is through. Won't be able to watch live as it's on CTV2. At least they post the full episode later but I still won't get to see anything 'live'. Are they using last year's format? Anyone thing that Hannah Simone looks like Lea Michelle (the person who plays Rachel in Glee)? Anyhow, we're down to 33. It sure looks like some must be shoo-ins for the top 20, given how must tv time they were given: Fik-shun, Malece, Jade and/or Bluprint, Jenna, and thinks there's another in there too. Curtis Holland is a maybe but I still think the other tapper is better and they did talk about her sailing through some early rounds. We could wind up with two Jasmines: Cyrus' ex and Jasmine Mason who got cut in the Green Mile last year and is in the Green Mile again this year. You can always tell her in the group shots because of her big hair! I think the best part of the show was Fik-Shun's first solo. So well choreographed. Loved it. Yes, I understand dropping your partner is bad but I think that the format was at fault. Armen just seemed to have a mental lapse due to fatigue. (Alex and Jasmine are my picks) And since 8 of the females are in contemporary, expect half of them to be cut as well. I see a gal from Detroit, Austin, Los Angeles and Memphis making F20. For hiphop I'm thinking probably Jade, FikShun and Bluprint, they've been the most visible. Although the dance off that resulted in both Jade and FikShun making it through for F33 could leave room for another Green Mile show-down the producers are so fond of doing. Aaron and Curtis for tap? Gene and Paul for Ballroom? And for Contemporary I see both Tucker and Nico as immediate choices with the third being a toss-up between Yiannis, Carlos and David. at least that's the way I see it. "RE: Green Mile dancers (final 33)" I think the show down might be the Bersten brothers instead. With the exception of a handful of them, we really don't know how well these dancers did in genres that weren't their own. I'd think that Paul K. has the inside edge in ballroom since he must have dance the other styles in Armenia. They also like growth stories and people going beyond what they've done before and you could see that with both tappers Curtis (shown crying after contemporary) and Aaron (whom, I think, was the first guy to answer the 'why would should pick me' question and said he wants to be more than just a good tapper). Also, just checked on returnees from last year. Megan Branch, Jasmine Mason made the Green Mile last year. Mariah Spears was cut after contemporary last year. Nigel, may not be up to the rigors of the program. YIKES! Off to the Green Mile 33 in the holding room. Who is in and who is out. Cat being a tease. Fik-shun up first. Your personality is fantastic. If put inside a trained dancer, could win. You are not a trained dancer. I'll work hard. And we are giving you that opportunity, you are in the top 20. Emilio, another hip hopper, also in. Marcus Shields...no at the green mile before...Admits he is nervous. This is the end of the journey, but he is so great. One Hip hop left, Mariah. She's been shining in all the stages. We haven't had that many succesful attempts from hip hop girls, tWitch talking about how many times he tried. and she.....MADE IT! A few days after filming Emilio had to withdraw from an injury. That may mean a lack of emotional maturity for some pieces and/or less confidence with portraying vamp/sexiness which features so often in the pieces. That's obviously a gross generalization I realize. None of the dancers from the top 33 that didn't at least have an audition montage made it through. So, I don't think there's any hidden talents. Highlighted dancers during Vegas week all made it through meaning that tribe's (and my) guesses were pretty much dead on. The list of 33 seemed to have a few errors in it. There was a Tessa in there (who got cut) and a couple of other names. Still, overall, it seems like a very strong group.
