Please keep all sigpic free discussion of tonight's performances on this thread until the West Coast has a chance to see the dances and finish drooling/swooning.Programming note. We are having some bad thunderstorms right now which is why I'm posting this a bit early while I have power. Hopefully they'll pass quickly and I'll be fine. A lighting bolt hit while I was passing a couple of car places and the boom set off all the car alarms, so I dunno how hopeful I am. Off to cook dinner while the lights are on. Eek.

Nigel LythgoeI hope our guest judges do well. How cute Cat goes all fan-girl introducing Debbie Allen. Debbie says it takes as much technique to do those hip hop moves as it does anything else. LOL at the hair comes off too comment from Debbie. Mary who has really stood out? That is really difficult as there are so many amazing dancers and the standard is higher, one person, it would be Dominic. He is not letting us down so far and just knocking my socks off. Nigel, how is the competition shaping up? Hugely pleased and seeing the choreography each week, they are pulling it out each week. It is getting personal, we got some real abuse about who we let go, You know he does look like he has a cat on his head (and not Cat). Be passionate I don't care what you say. Mary says "sometimes he's just so wrong"

Wants to make enough money to help people out and pay the help he got forward. Lil C is the choreographer. Jesus doesn't know how to krump at all. Has to give them analogies. He thinks they are going to smash it, pretty buck. It's OK (One Blood)
The Game feat. Junior Reid Actually that wasn't as aggressive as I thought it was going to be. Debbie: What a way to start the show. Jesus I couldn't keep my eyes off of you, it is physical and dramatic. I thought you all did a great job. Mary. Oh Sara, what a contrast to last week and back to rough tough. Lil C's put the war on. Jesus the way you just fired up and hit it hard the whole way through. Nigel. I like where Lil C is taking krumping you aren't just kicking butt. Sara you are a gangster. She scared me. Jesus this seems crazy to me this is mean work from South LA where did you learn thing {stamping the grapes}

The Family Stand Sunny Bunny is that you? She is in a white dress iwth black accents and he is a white shirt and black pant with a black tie. A lot of emotion in that routine. Mia seems pleased. Debbie. Well this is your first week together. Mia you delivered these children. Shauna I don't know how you end up in the bottom three. Cedric this is about soul and spirit and you touch me when you dance. Because of you, you are making it cool for other young men to do all these things. Mary. Shauna for what you were given I think you did an amazing job. For me it still wasn't good enough. Cedric when you do your solos you are extraordinary, I think you let your partner down again. I think Mia worked around you very well, but it showed no growth. She wants him out. Cedric says the dance did show all the struggles he is going through. Going to keep learning. Nigel. This is strange because I agree with both my colleagues. He said the choreography was brilliant for Cedric. Doesn't know if we were right (paris's judge was wrong too, BOOOO!!!!!!) Cedric says he was put on this show by God that you have to learn as much as possible. This is a celebration of goodbyes, but I think we may be saying goodbye last night. Tells the audience that they shouldn't boo the judges. Get your butt to class all your dancers out there. How to set the voters up to keep them in. Debbie Allen will give Cedric a Scholarship to her school. Debbie says America hasn't voted the child may still be in the running.

They will be doing the Quick Step. Tony Meredith will be doing the choreography. They bring out the frame holder and held him up. Big and Bad
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy She is in a red dress and hes in in a black pant, white shirt and black vest and I do believe he has spats on. That was fun! Benji going nuts in the audience. Debbie: It was so much fun to watch. A classic and timely dance it was fast and sassy and week to week you've impressed us. Mary. Lacey this is not your bag even if you are swing you don't really do the quickstep. Bravo to both of you as the quickstep is known as the kiss of death and you did an extended period of time in close hold. Got a little bit tight, but that was pretty amazing, missing the mohawk a bit. The torture device worked. Nigel would have like to see you cover a little more area, did get a bit of a swing jitterbug and it was really entertaining, and comfortable or not you were leading and she isn't an easy partner to lead.

Timbaland They are in black suits with white shirts. Cat: She's sassing it up. Debbie: I think they are the dream team. I think we have to come up with something else to level the playing field. That was really well choreographed, I loved it and Danny I just think you are the matinée idol of this competition (gives some love back to Debbie) She wants him to pick her big butt up. Can't imagine them not making it to the end. Mary. You guys are really sensational together, they will have to change partners down the road. Some things could be hit a bit harder there were some good moves and a lot of fun. Nigel. I think that could be your downfall in style, I didn't think you were comfortable. People don't really how tough it is to go from a classical background to put your body in different places I'm speaking on a much higher level when I say it wasn't as good. I want to see you improve as much as those on a lower level and you can.

Call the fire department honey that was hot. you are so foolish Dominic. I wanna say being a b-boy is great for this style of dance you have upper body strength and you understand balance. It is about broadening the dance vocabulary. Mary. You guys have a wonderful partnership happening. Sabra you look effortless. I hope you don't fall through the cracks and you look so natural in those heels and dress. Your feet and ankles were beautiful and Dominic I'm not going to say anything bad and you are hanging in there with that Latin movement and you were there for your partner and you aren't used to dancing with a partner. Last week I said you were a force to be reckoned with and you are on the Hot Tamale Train *MARY SCREAM* Nigel. I'd love to know if you surprise yourself. When you dance you are focused and passionate and that is our first rumba and you were terrific. Sabra you are like a gorgeous little pixie and you have great control. Dominic I didn't know the B stood for Ballroom in B-boy.

I wasn't sure what you were talking about with the song choice, until I noticed that it was a Pussycat Dolls song. I had a storm warning thing covering the corner of my screen when that dance was going on, so I didn't notice what the song was. Aside from the fact that it was the Pussycatt Dolls, I think it was a nice choice. Slow and sexy, like a rumba should be.

Sexteto Mayor She is in a long red dress and he is in a dark gray pant shirt and vest. Debbie. I watch you every week and this is a very different style. I thought you connected and were into her. It wasn't quite as smooth as I wanted it to be. It was a beautiful job and you were beautiful together. Mary. We could see the cat and mouse action going on. The best part was the beginning. Well synchronized and passionate but not as good when you were together, and it was a bit sloppy and you were a bit off of the floor and you needed to be down into the floor. I was expecting a little bit more, but it was OK. Nigel thought it was pretty good. Neil was over dancing it and a complement to you and the rest of the guys you dance like dudes and you look on control. You need to watch your shoulders but other than that you look great together the pair of you.

Wade Robeson will be doing the choreography. The practice room is dark with candles. She is a flower and he is a hummingbird. The Chairman's Waltz
Memoirs of a Geisha (soundtrack) She is in a short blue dress with the wild hair, he is in a black pant and tunic. Totally bizarre and I really liked it. Debbie. Wade to the best of your worlds and put together a piece that was genius and you are really stepping up and you only have three days, it made me think of a Cirque du Soleil routine. It was like water it was so beautiful. Mary. This was definitely a step up from last week. Very unusual. it is hard for me to think you mostly dance on your hands and your head and he found the quirky movement and you were soaring like an eagle. Nigel. When I started watching it I thought what is this all about and as I watched I saw how brilliant this was. Took both your style and your culture and turned it into movement. And the control you had Jaimie was sensational. He has taken what you do brilliantly, this is your essence as dancers. At the end you became like a sea anemone and it was beautiful to watch and it is a routine we will remember for a long time.

Wade is my favorite choreographer! He is so inventive and original. It was definitely more like a ballet than Jazz, and I loved it! I thought it was the best dance of the night.

Be still my heart. That was amazing. Wade Robson is a freaking genius. Hok is gorgeous and wonderfully talented and Jaimie, who I didn't like before, totally won me over. Totally. That took my breath away. I can't believe how perfect that was.

Pasha's ambitions are all about the family he hasn't seen since he was 17. Jessie would love to be a performer and wants to be a triple threat. They get the Cha Cha. Tony Meredith doing the choreography. characterized by it's cheekyness. He's been doing the Cha Cha along time. All about playing and flirting with each other. Well that was how rehearsals went, and a lot can happen. This morning something dramatic happened. They did a run through and Jessie felt weak with pain in her chest and she can't breathe and they took her away to the hospital. Doctor orders so she can rest. Melanie the assistant will be dancing. To Let's Get Loud
Jennifer Lopez. She is a in a black tunic with a silver skirt flipping out the bottom he is in a black pant and vest. She is a big girl and he still did the lifts. Poor guy. The judges all stand and clap for him, so do the choreographers. Debbie. The show must go on and you went on and on and on. You didn't miss a beat, but it was like you were dancing with Bette Midler, you get an oscar tonight because you were like she was your girlfriend. Hard to be training and have someone step in. Good bless you for being so daring. Mary. You brought the house down tonight. *MARY SCREAM* I think Melanie needs to brush off her shoes as she is a past champion, you are HOT HOT HOT!!!! Nigel. Jessi is still in hospital there was something wrong with the EKG. Pasha if you are in the bottom three you will be dancing with you. If Jessie is available she will dance for her life, if not she will be cut. He doesn't think Pasha will have to worry. Gack, I am in tears over this.

LOL on the outfit. I thought the same thing. A big baggy black sweater is not sexy at all! I found it really distracting and wish that it was Jessi dancing with him. That would've been hot! Pasha was great, a real performer.

Well this is probably a sign that I watch way too much tv, but even though I haven't seen the show yet I think I know who Melanie is. I think she is Tony's former dance partner and co-owner of a studio that they have in New York. I believe that she was featured on an epsiode of What Not to Wear a couple of seasons ago.
