Two hours is a bull. We've already had an entire (ENTIRE!)..did I say ALL SUMMER LONG??? Of this? I just want to see who wins already! OK, Tuesday night they perform again. THEN, votes go in again. Then are tabulated, in other words, COUNTED again for the bazillionth time. THEN, after we see Nick Cannon's cousin, wife, and best friend perform on stage, plus a few prime acts from Vegas, we will finally see the winner unveiled. Thank GOD for my DVR! Those thuds were the sounds of Prince Poppycock and Fighting Gravity returning to earth in a hurry. Here are my thoughts: To Prince Poppycock: Don't pick the finale episode to sing opera, when your main competition is a 10-year-old girl who sings opera much better than you do. Stick with what got you to the finals-- showmanship and variety, with some solid singing thrown into the mix. To Fighting Gravity: The finale episode is not the time to have a screw-up. Up until the final five seconds, I enjoyed your act. (Feel free to ask Anna and Patryk about the impact of mistakes.) Not being singers, they had to be absolutely flawless to have a shot at winning, and they weren't. To Michael Grimm: Outstanding song choice, great job singing the song. You're not as talented as Jackie, but you made the most of what you have with that performance.
