dabo 25344 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 09-02-10, 11:11 AM (EST) "Top 10 Rank-'Em" Well, we've got two more weeks of this madness. Next week the top 10 perform to see who will make dudududuh the final four! I wish they would just finish it next week, with it down to ten acts that should be do-able, but no, they have to drag it out as long as possible. Anyway, here they are all together. 1 to 10, how do you rank these acts (1 being best, 10 being worst)? There are no wrong answers, I'll put them in alphabetical order just to start. Anna and Patryk, ballroom dancers Christina and Ali, singers Fighting Gravity, blacklight show Jackie Evancho, singer (opera) Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, daredevil bicyclist Michael Grasso, magician Michael Grimm, singer (musician) Prince Poppycock, singer (opera) Studio One Young Beast Society, dance troupe Taylor Matthews, singer (musician) Just for fun, folks. "RE: My Rankings-all 10" This is just how I want it to play out in the final, finesse, finale, in-IT'S FINALLY OVER!! 1) Prince Poppycock for the win and the cool mil! 2) Fighting Gravity-will no doubt have a spot in Vegas after this 3) Micheal Grimm-hoping for a record contract and successful career 4) Anna and Patryk-we have NOT seen the end of these two amazing young dancers! 5) Jackie Evancho-she'll be around for a while, too. But it will be short-lived, unless she incorporates some contemporary music into her opera. 6) Micheal Grasso-I'm sure he'll get a show somewhere, just not as big as he'd imagined. 7)Studio One Young Beast Society-will probably get a spot in Vegas or somewhere else where they can showcase their dancing! 8)Taylor Matthews-won't see or hear anything of him after this 9) Christina and Ali-same as above, unless one gets ill, sadly 10) Jeremy Van Schoonhoven-not sure what will become of this young man and his daring bicycle act. Mine aren't based on how I think this season should finish, since there are still performances to be seen and weighed. But I may as well lay it out. 1. Prince Poppycock. The best act of the season even though he is a singer, and definitely the best male singer of the bunch. Could I see him headlining a Vegas show, absolutely. Even more than that, I could see him starring in a weekly television show, something devoted to skit comedy (and singing of course), or perhaps something even more eccentric along the lines of Pee-Wee's Playhouse. 2. Anna and Patryk. Not only the best dancers of the season, at a professional level, they are just fun. Plus they've shown some diversity in their performances. 3. Michael Grasso. Tailoring magic to 90 second performances has to be really tough, this guy obviously is a professional stage magician and I'd love to see a complete show by him. 4. Michael Grimm. Very good singer, he should be able to bounce from this into a fulltime career making records and performing in concerts. 5. Fighting Gravity. Best of the remaining amateur acts, I love what they do, but at some point they would reach their limit with the blacklight illusions and have to bring some other elements into it to sustain an on-going act. 6. Studio One Young Beast Society. Wonderful dancers, they put everything into it, but they need to develop their performances a bit more, mainly they are still in exhibition. 7. Jackie Evancho. Obviously a wonderfully gifted singer, I could listen to her all day and not grow tired; but other than her singing talent she is undeveloped as a performer, watching her in concert would not be all that fun. She'll get there eventually but she's not there yet. 8. Taylor Matthews and 9. Christina and Ali. You pretty much said it. 10. Jeremy VanSchoonhoven. I see kids doing this sort of stuff on their bikes all the time, he's just taken it to an extreme level where it is mainly a sport and not all that interesting.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Studio One- amazing dance moves that I've never seen before. 2. Jackie Evancho- the best opera singer I've ever seen, better than Barbara Padilla last year 3. Michael Grasso- always has me surprised in the end 4. Prince Poppycock- great showman and good opera voice 5. Jeremy Van Schoonhoven- his tricks keep getting better and better 6. Fighting Gravity- very impressive show 7. Michael Grimm- good singer-not in Jackie's league though 8. Taylor Matthews- good singer-maybe shouldn't be in the top ten 9. Anna & Patrick- very good dancers-would have been much higher on my list if she hadn't fallen. 10.Christina & Ali- They made the top 10 because of their story but they were overmatched.
