>I also think the team challenges >blow, the losing team leader >is almost certain to be >fired,Angela was in the bottom two and was almost fired in a team challenge when she was not the team leader. Project Runway used teams whenever there was something especially important at stake. They used teams to design an evening gown for Miss USA to wear in the Miss Universe Pagent and to design an outfit that Macys was going to sell. For things that are this important to Project Runway, and to the client who trusted Project Runway, they wanted the winning outfit to have the benefit of ideas from more than one designer. The winning design this week was certainly a team effort. >And finally, I think Keith was >cra-zay to bring in those >pattern books. What was >he thinking? Keith was self-destructive in many ways. In addition to bringing in pattern books, Keith overspent for fabric, went offsite to use the Internet, failed to do the part of an earlier design challenge that called for an outfit for a pet, and he never learned from his mistakes. After he was told that he failed to complete part of the pet assignment, he claimed that he should have won that week anyway.

DW, who watches this more than I do, give the credit to Laura (the tall red-headed woman, right?). She says Laura's really good, while Angela is...well, not so good.

I checked out the design at the Macy's site, and it really is very nice if you have the body to pull it off. This was her design, but it was reigned in from being a puffy, granny rosed disaster due to the input of her team. Had it been her effort alone, I suspect that it would not have won and put into production. Even Tim says this on his blog. I don't like her. Ginger and I head up the "What the heck wete they thinking?" club, but it was a good outfit design. As for her "Empire State Building" inspiration, yeah... how very original. I've not only seen it on this show, but in the movie The Producers too -- and I'm sure that tired story was NOT the reason the Macy's guy chose the design. Like Keith, she's pretty blatent in her strategies and power plays, and I have no doubt that she will hang herself eventually, just as he did.

Whatever Angela's design aesthetic, she had the good business sense to gather two of the more polished and non-controversial designers around her. It was only their elegant taste that reigned in Angela's wild ideas. Overall, her design was very simple -- the cropped jacket being the only sign of trendiness.

Don't know...I would think she's been getting the inspiration after that last team effort with Michael & Laura. That one outfit where she said it was some French teacher for kids was hilarious!

I would have liked to hear Angela give credit to Laura for her idea to put the rosettes as buttons. It would have BEEN NICE. On the topic of Angela: Why the puff skirts? Who or why would anyone want to wear them when they become so tired to look at so quickly. Bag of skittles-loved Keiths' remark about her purple fab.!
