"How does Vincent keep escaping!"
I don't get it. Vincent is still in the running. Although I thought he would be in his element because I think he's stuck in the 60's I was so disappointed with what he turned out. It was horrible! He just keeps skating by. Please, hurry up and stick a fork in him--he's so done! At least Bradley's pants were more Cher than Vincent's entire dress was Twiggy. Bradley was humorous, but humor doesn't win a contest. I really liked Angela's dress and was glad to see Micheal win a challenge. He's a sweety!

1. "RE: How does Vincent keep escaping!"
Vincent has IMO been skating through because someone else is always just a bit worse.

He'll get his Auf pretty soon. Although from what Tim has said (either in the blog or podcast) Vincent usually believes that he was on the runway for more questioning as one of the best each time. That he doesn't see he is one of the worst will keep him IMO from being able to change what he is doing enough to save himself. How he sees the negative comments as proof that he was just barely out of first place when other people got so much praise I do not know. Denial must be a wonderful thing.

OMG, I loved Angela's dress! The fabric was different and exciting, and the rosebuds were very tasteful and actually a plus, I thought. (What the heck did she call them? effluerages or something?)

I think she might have called them rosettes. For the first time, they made sense as the buttons on that dress and were actually quite cute.

Sigs by Bob-Poor drawing combined with obscure misquoted lyrics.

I know, this wasn't necessarily important enough to post over a week after the show, but I only just watched the episode.

Yeah, her designs are surprising me every week! How is she holding in her rosette-happy urges?

btw, on the team-effort challege, who WASN'T relieved when michael and laura reined her in? And they broke it down gently to her...kind of like talking to a fragile crazy schizophrenic...ah, the voice of reason!

I had to evacuate my building like 10 minutes before the show was over (fire alarms and smoke really get the heart racing!) so I didn't get to see the end of the show. It sounds like Michael won and Bradley was voted off? Yes?

I knew that Michael either had to be the winner or the one going home about 10 minutes into the show. Before last night, he was pretty much the invisible man, but last night he actually got camera time! So I knew something happened with him. I'm glad he finally got a win. I thought he should've won way back in week 1 with that coffee filter dress. Yay Michael!

I never liked Bradley, not sad to see him go. Hopefully Vincent will be next. Ugh!

He keeps getting by because, hard as it is to accept, there were others with worse designs.

There is just no way they could have kept Bradley over Vincent. Vincent at least put some thought and actual design into his work. Bradley is so out of his element in this competition, I can't believe he was ever selected at all.

8. "RE: How does Vincent keep escaping!"
I agree that Vincent is in a world all his own and it is awful. I actually thought he should have been in the bottom 2 instead of Robert. Robert's may have been boring, but at least it wasn't hideous and was wearable.

Poor pathetic Bradley was on the brink of elimination for awhile. Poor guy is a mess. I just always felt sorry for him and wondered how he got on the show.

Michael's outfit was cool and I'm glad he got a win under his belt. My personal fave was Kayne's dress, though. Kayne is my fave designer so far in the competition.

Angela's design was great for her, but I wasn't that impressed. It's just another little black dress.

Laura had another great design. So far everything she has designed is something I'd wear or I have very similar things already.

I like Uli's designs every week, also, especially because she uses these outrageous prints and yet they end up looking great.

9. "RE: How does Vincent keep escaping!"
Now I like Bradley; he seemed like the most inoffensive and loopy designer. I think he got on the show based on his personality rather than his design talent.

As for Vincent, maybe he can sew but his design ideas are musty and out of touch. Those weird crescent patch pockets on the front of the "Twiggy" dress? Those pockets serve no function; why are they so prominently featured? And he didn't even know Twiggy is still alive! I like Vincent too, but I think he's wasted his 401K if he has really cashed it in to take another stab at the fashion biz.

Robert is unraveling week by week. I believe Tim theorized Robert slides by because his sketches are beautiful. But I do not believe designing for Barbie (the ultimate drag queen fantasy) translates into designing what real women want to wear. Pity is Robert can sew, but he doesn't have a clue.

Kayne gets on my nerves. He's done the pageant thing for so long, but can he do ready-to-wear? I've yet to see Kayne produce an outfit that wasn't designed for single-use, special occasion only.

Angela surprised me. Maybe she really does have some design flair and we only saw the worst of her because she was paired with Vincent.

The outfit Kayne designed for the dog challenge was what I'd consider ready-to-wear. It had that great skirt with the crazy pattern (that I actually own a skirt similar to), the sleeveless top, and the black jacket. I loved that outfit!

Read it! Thank you! That *was* hilarious!!!

I think that the reason Vincent hasn't been Auf'd yet is because even though he's a walking fashion disaster, he gets shuffled somewhere into the middle of the stack. Vincent's "Twiggy" dress was -- awful. But, compared to the complete mistake of the Madonna dress? (Which, Mark Harris NAILS in his review) the Twiggy dress was high fashion window showing material!

I also think that personality wise? Vincent is a bit of a Santino, and that keeps him around, too. You never know what's going to come out of his mouth--and that makes good TV.

Vincent won't win, though. That's for sure! If he does? I should go to fashion school! (doubtful)

It was so wrong to send Allison home instead of Vincent. She at least has made some beautiful clothes on previous challenges! Vincent has not shown anything yet! And, Allison had the biggest, widest model, yet they tell her "she looks big." Duh! She IS big!! Even Tim cautioned Allison on that point when he was looking at her design. I wonder what the attraction is for the producers to continue to let Vincent remain?

Vincent's the guy we LOVE to hate. As annoying and EXASPERATING as his space cadet designs are, he's damn fine entertainment.

"Getting off" on his design - c'mon, who even SAYS that?!!

Uh, people one step shy of a straitjacket

Too bad entertainment has a price over talent though. When the ratings are up, advertisers buy more air time (because people are watching) - thus fattening the wallets of the PR's top execs and producers. That's Hollywood, baby!

I feel for the guy, already cashing in his 401 and whatever issues he's going through - and maybe there's even a niche for his kooky crafts somewhere....

but please "find yourself" elsewhere and let the rest of us enjoy the show!

Like livsforluv says, HOW can they stretch this out any longer? Unless he pulls something fabulous out from where the sun-don't-shine (which he thinks he does quite often) *sigh*

The torture continues....

Does anyone watch the Soup on E!, they showed a very bizzare video of Vincent, he was on a headset phone in a laundrymat babbling some crazy conversation and undressing and putting his clothes in a washing machine at the end of the clip he was butt naked still having this weird conversation. It was the most insane thing I have seen in a long time.
I believe they said on the show that they found the clip by googling him.

This and the fact that he kept talking about his clothes or designs getting him off makes him one of the creepiest reality contestants I have seen in, oh... I'd say, maybe forever

From memory.

Vincent walking down the street with one of those in ear phone things. He is talking on and on about Nanotechnogy. Gets a drink spilled on him, keeps talking Nanotechnology (And IIRC the on and on nanotechnology monologue didn't make that much sense) and walks to the laudromat. Strips off his clothes while still talking on and on about nanotechnology and then at the end the do a pan down his naked body from the back so you see his butt up close and way too personal like.
