Not sure now long I'll go with this seeing no posts thus far for this season. I guess Kingfish may chime in with a post or two...of course if my Reality Show counterpart Michel is lurking I'm sure he'll siege the opportunity.For whatever it's worth, my week one assessments: Audrey – Came out of the gate playing harder than anyone else thus far. That could be good; but could backfire as well. If I was Production I would have forbidden Audrey to say anything about her transgender status until something like Day 30 hoping some GQ pretty boy or horny toad would have hit on her/him only to find out her true status a month later! Would have made for epic TV. Vanessa – If she could keep the House thinking she’s a DJ, I like her chances to advance. You don’t earn over 4 mil as a poker player without reading people really well. She has the head for the game, but given her net worth I wonder if she will have the drive and desire to want to put up with a bunch of caged idiots for 90+ days. I agree with her choosing Austin for the fast forward. James – Way to step up in the first HOH comp. From what I saw the planks moved and balls fired the same, so well done Little Man! As much as is made about the risk of winning the first comp, half a dozen former HGs who won the first HOH advanced to the F4...three out of those six went on to emerge as the season champion. That being said I doubt James will add to the list. Given the cast this season he appears like a square peg in a round hole. I’m not a fan of the cowardly act of backdooring but it is especially risky to orchestrate it in week one. Jason – Unlike the first HOH Comp, I have to seriously question whether the UFO suction was evenly distributed for all participants. If so, we may be witnessing a real life “Peter Parker” in Jason who possesses this mystery secret strength. If that be the case (as I said with James) well done Little Man! Also as stated with James, not so sure backdooring is a smart play this early. He’s given Becky and Johnny easy reason to put him up if either wins HOH next week. Jeff – I didn’t watch TAR last season so don’t know about him other than what I saw in Ep. 2. He scores points for his diplomatic answer to Julie making it fairly clear he wants nothing to do with Jackie on a personal level...could you blame him? If Jackie doesn’t win POV, his best move would be to prove to all nothing is going on between them and lead the charge to cut her loose so he could play the remainder of the game on his own. Austin – He may get by early on, but his stature will make it impossible to fly UTR. His physicality will force him to run the table with competitions every week otherwise he’s got jury member written all over him. Steve – I was an Ian fan in BB14. The comparisons are obvious. I’m not shocked he was nominated in Week One. This kid screams paranoia without even opening his mouth, but if he could settle in early I like his chances to advance this season. Becky – Have no opinion of her yet. She performed well in the BOB but comes off as a quintessential floater in my mind. If so, then she’ll move down the list. If she shows game I might warm up to her. Jace – Dude needs to paddle a bit more lightly. From the minute he walked through the door he’s been moving at ramming speed. When warships move at ramming speed they self-destruct. That’s exactly what will happen to Jace if the backdoor scheme works. Clay – Obviously casted to be the eye-candy for the summer, i.e. Cody last season. Girls lust him; guys want to be like him...generally a good recipe for advancement. But unless we’re treated to witness one of the greatest players ever to play the game two seasons in a row, i.e. Derrick, no one will want to sit next to Clay in the Finals. Shelli – Cougartown meets BB. She needs to realize Clay could get any girl he wants, so if any showmance should develop with a woman 10 years his senior, be prepared to be used like a wet dishrag. I hope she will be able to keep her libido in check to actually play the game. John – I dunno...not impressing me. Comes off as another square peg in a round hole this season. Can’t think of any benefit revealing to the House your occupation is a high salary job. Add him to the list of irritating HGs who don’t realize the power of a microphone and insist speaking in LARGE CAPS when in the DR. Liz – We had Jessie two seasons ago, Victoria last year, and now Liz...all of whom think they were/are the best looking female in the House and the other girls will be “jealous” of their stunning drop-dead gorgeousness. *snort* Don’t get me wrong...all the mentioned girls are cute, but they are not even in the top three or four of their season as the best-looking. Heck, I’d even rank transgender Audrey hotter looking. Jackie – Nails on the chalkboard to me...and probably to Jeff as well. He seems to only tolerate her because each is the other’s ticket into the House. I’m hoping the backdoor plan falls apart and she gets the first boot. Da’Vonne – Liz...really??? I could understand passing on Shelli because of a possible sappy, silly showmance with Clay, but it was a perfect opportunity to solidify her bond with Audrey. I guess when you lie about your profession it’s only natural to think others will as well, but why in the world would John say he’s a dentist if he wasn’t??? Going by first impressions I see her as being obnoxiously annoying all season. She should really be home caring for her newborn infant child. Maybe in a couple weeks that’s exactly where she’ll be. Meg – As far as high energy level is concerned, she’s Jace with boobs. But Jace is more entertaining. When she tries to be humorous, she’s irritable. But could stick around a while by being perceived as a non-threat. Yet another who annoyingly doesn’t understand the purpose of a mic in the DR.

Aruba, you're dating the hell out of yourself with that "ramming speed" reference. I recognize that phrase from the movie "Ben-Hur", which I saw on TV in 1970 but which was originally released in 1959. I would think Audrey was moving closer to ramming speed than Jace, and if she doesn't slow down to battle speed or less, people will tire of her or grow suspicious of her and possibly might put her up in the near future.

My list order would be almost the inverse of yours for most of these children, but I'm still learning their names so I have to see more.Audrey: I get a distinct "clashes with everyone" vibe, even with her three (Now two since Shelli began flirting with Clay? Now four after sucking up to the HOHs? Shifty, much?) person alliance. Which translates to me as much lower on the love list. James: Stupid, stupid, stupid! Much lower on the love list. Winning the first HoH is a very questionable tactic, and planning such an intricate back door to boot someone who isn't really a threat to him in the first week is stupid stupid stupid. But I kinda like the guy, he comes off as straight forward. A good act if internally he's half as scheming as Derrick was. He's a candidate for upward revision depending on how his plans work out. Meg: The girl with the big infectious grin? Do I have her right? If so, she's high on my like list. Cute, perky, great smile, and capable of a decent diary room quote. Mid-range or higher. Liz: I have a very different impression of her than you. It's early, and she could be coming down in weeks to come, but initially I like her. Cute, nice figure, seems to be a nice personality. Hopefully she will be a good diary room quote source. Upper part of like list. Might make it to Love list depending on how a certain twist comes off. Da'Vonne: Agree. Brain dead with her assessment of the dentist, and doubly brain dead with her bungled attempt to hide her suspicions from him. Idiotic response to the Shelli flirtation with Clay. She should observe, store info, and plan how that could be used to advance her cause later without tipping anyone off as to her feelings. Stupid girl. Second from Bottom of love list. Jace: Bottom of list. Irritation. Egoism. Self delusion. Bro-idiot. An imitation of the pedacab guy from last season, without any of the charm. He couldn't be more negative. Steve: Wuss. That may buy him some time, but so so far, after week one, he shows no signs of any social insight. Lower half. Austin: Agree with placement. Kinda like his attitude so far, teaming up with Jace but willing to throw him under the bus when it becomes expedient. That's the way you do it on your MTV (yeah, I just dated myself). He needs to not win challenges. Maybe then he can avoid becoming too big of a challenge threat and thus a target. He also needs to get into a girls alliance for protection from jealous males. Vanessa: Third from bottom. A very distinct antagonistic and condescending vibe from her. Perceptive people pick up on that. Often, even non-perceptive people will. Also, has the self delusion that being a great poker player gives her an advantage in reading other hamsters whose every emotion is already written all over their faces. Could move up if she can pickup and utilize BB strategy. Jason: Also agree with the entire assessment on Jason, except that it was stupid to win the first HoH, so I'd place him in the lower half. Am already tired of his finger-snapping imitation of a hip street sistah. Apparently going for the role that Frankie defined last season, and that attitude could carry him as far as it carried Frankie. Still, low on the love list for me. It may be less of a chore to do this every other or every third week or so. Hope Michael responds too. I don't remember if he has BB on his radar though. .

Thanks for your input! I agree...probably every other week will be the way to go. Yes, Michel does lurk through the BB forum.I haven't really seen Audrey clashing with a lot of HGs yet. But she is spreading herself thin so it may be an inevitable outcome. I recall last season observing Derrick spreading himself thin as well. If memory serves me correct he had more side alliances going than Austin has tattoos. As much as I was a Derrick fan all season I was waiting for the episode where he would get caught with his hand in the cookie jar...but that obviously never happened. I question the tactic of winning the first HOH much less than you, but it's how you handle that initial HOH reign that defines stupidity. With that said I agree with you that backdooring in week one as HOH is "stupid, stupid, stupid." I thought it was more Jason's idea to backdoor Jace. James went along with it only because as duel HOHs and not knowing if he would retain the title depending on how the BOB went, he was just covering his bases. I dunno, I could be wrong... I think Liz will go far, but my week one assessment was mostly based on how she came off as her self-proclaimed God's-gift-to-men-so-all-female-HGs-will-hate-me persona. Your only assessment I'm unable to see you halfway on is Meg. I can't even force myself to think she's attractive. Although I didn't mention it on my list I see her as a potential floater also. Of course one week does not a season make. Time will tell...

Austin - So far for entertainment value AND gameplay. This guy has Jace, sure, but he has a leg up on Jace and can do without the dude.
Vanessa - A poker player who actually gets it. Definitely going to be a force. I forget what she chose as her 'cover' profession but she chose well.
James - I have a friend who reminds me of James. Plus the guy plays hard.
Jason - The huge dork. Plus he seems to have a decent head on his shoulders. If he doesn't win, at least he'll get out of Mom's basement.
Audrey - So far so good, but I'm prepared to start hating her if she goes a little too girl-power.
Shelli - A solid player and someone who thinks for herself.NEUTRAL
John - Jury's out on the dentist, but if you tell people you're a dentist and they don't believe you, you're doing something wrong.
Jeff - He's playing, sure, but being on a season of TAR that didn't catch my attention...well, can't root for him yet.
Steve - He has the nerd factor, sure, but he's no Ian.
Jackie - I know a little about her. I know she's expendable.
Liz - Seems OK, and good on getting protection from the Unnecessary Apostrophe, but beyond that, I'm prepared to hate her and the twin she rode in on. HUH?
Becky - Nothing special.
Meg - Even less special. HATE
Clay - Yes, we get it. He's good-looking. Now just go the hell away.
Da'Vonne - I'm a casino dealer. She's taking a diarrhea dump all over my profession.

One of my most memorable moments during BB14 week one was nerdy Ian being spied on the HOH screen as he walked around aimlessly throughout the BB House like a fish totally out of water. Clearly he gained confidence as the season went on and parlayed that into a win. Of course having All-Star champion Mike Boogie as an early mentor surely didn't hurt his cause. Steve will need to do it on his own. We'll see if he'll be able to but a solid win in the POV competition is a step in the right direction. Question for you As a Casino Dealer did you recognize who Vanessa is before BB telling us she is a professional poker player?
I find it odd that a person who is a Poker Dealer by profession did not recognize Vanessa.

That's a good point. Vanessa is one of the more recognizable poker pro-players, and the odds were good that several (at least) of the hamsters would recognize her. Apparently they didn't, but Da'Vonne surely should.
And Da'Vonne seems to have a chip on her shoulder anyway, I mean, she could have avoided all that drama if she had just said that the was counting house items (as she claimed to the audience) instead of claiming that Clay & co. were plotting against her. She just generated three votes against her, Clay, Audrey, and Shelli. Add to that the Dentist from earlier, and she's close to total implosion. That girl isn't going to last, and when her week comes there will be outbursts and tears aplenty. I don't get Jace's claim that "these have been the best 15 days ever". 15 days? I guess he's counting the time before he entered the house, the time he wasn't allowed to associate with the others? Or maybe you don't have to be good at counting in order to be a snowboarder.

Total agreement with both!Jace is a hot dog and a showboat. Revealing the twin twist to him during his exit interview all but assures his playing days are over for this season. But the class he showed walking out of the House (that is before his silly tumbling act) makes me wonder if he may have a cameo at some point later in the game? He just seemed to take the finality of his eviction way too well...but maybe I shouldn't be overanalyzing a moron. As much a moron as he was, I couldn't help but laugh AT him at times so in my mind we did lose some entertainment value. Conversely I cannot find Da'Vonne humorous nor entertaining...and let's add hypocritical for good/(bad) measure. She rants in the DR how she will NOT tolerate lying...oh really...is that so Ms. "Second-Grade Teacher?!" Just another sad example of establishing two standards of ethics--one for herself and another for everyone else.
