Megacanuck 120 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Blistex Spokesperson" 10-19-05, 06:21 PM (EST) "Is this a guilty secret?" How many of you openly admit that you watch this? I love the show (no, I'm not on any medication), and would usually talk about it at work, as most of my co-workers are rabid reality-tv fans as well. BUT, there's so much anti-Martha sentiment out there that I'm reluctant to admit I watch it every week. I suppose there's a chance that there are other closet Martha-watchers in the office, but I'm not willing to take the chance. I have watched the Apprentice since the first season, and none of my work friends watch that either - so the new version - they could care even less you know? But yes, there are others of us out there watching. I like Martha's version every bit as much as Donald's - it's nice to have a contrasting boss to look at, but the format of the show is tried and true and I look forward to the new episodes each week. You can definitely see the difference in management styles between Trump and Stewart. Martha seems more interested in making sure the right person on the task is fired and will actually choose who goes into the final boardroom when needed. Trump leaves this all up to the PM and then punishes the PM if they make a mistake. It's the only reality show that has practical value. You learn a lot about business just watching these shows. I like watching Martha's version because it gives me a chance to see Martha Stewart from a different perspective. I can't say I'm a fan of Martha's but I've only heard negative things about her. I think seeing her on her show changes my perspective of her each week. I enjoy watching the teams and seeing the end result. I talk about the show at work with another Apprentice fan.
