Which book of Ramsay's that Virginia purchased?

Was really curious if the recipe from last night was even in it.

I personally think she won fair and square, but I'd like to know.

I don't know. I did do the amazon.com look inside search thing for bass on the ones where they let you do that and didn't find anything that looked like it was that recipe.

Virginia IIRC usually has done well on tasting things and knowing what they are so I'm not that shocked she could do it.

There a recipe for a "potage of ham hocks and white beans", but it doesn't look like there is a recipe for the fish or sauce with it.

I sincerely doubt that recipe is in one of his books.

1) Estee's right. No RTV editor could resist showing it to us if it were. And, you can bet the'd have checked as soon as they saw the footage of Heather claiming it was.

2) I seriously doubt, even if it was in the book, that any recipe in a cookbook of something called a "signature dish" is complete in all ways. If everyone can cook it at home, it ceases to be special.

I'd be willing to bet that there would be a slight change in the printed recipe from what is actually prepared in the kitchen.

At best, there may be a recipe for that particular fish served with a different sauce, and a separate recipe that calls for that sauce, or a variation of it, served with a different main. Or, possibly, a section of text that speaks to various component seasonings/herbs that work well together - like possibly pairing basil with a bean puree.
