"Ralphie on Iron Chef America" |
I just saw a commercial for an upcoming Iron Chef America on the Food Network and the "battle" is between Bobby Flay and Ralph Pagang (?), the runner-up in Season 1. They show Ralph talking to a fish, which must be the secret ingredient. It is probably on next Saturday, 4/29.

Unfortunately, the CrackBerry didn't have all of the answers, because Ralphie lost to Bobby Flay. He actually did fairly well with organization and was much more creative than I thought he was. The knock against 2 of his dishes was that the sauces were too sweet for the fish. He must be a more prominent chef than he seemed.

Eh, I'm not so sure of that. If it weren't for Hell's Kitchen, I doubt he would have been on the show. While I too was pleasantly surprised by his dishes, it does seem that overall he was one of the lesser caliber challengers Iron Chef America has had on. Having watched almost all of the episodes of the series so far, I'm quite sure he received one of the worst score trouncings of all-time (certainly in the top five).
