For the challenge each of the peeps cooked a souffle. Ralph came in first, Michael second and Jessica third. As a prize Ralph got first choice of entrees, michael got second choice and Jessica was last.

I can't believe Jessica had never cooked chicken before. Steaming it seems pretty boring.

Anyway, Michael's wife is really cute, and seems to have as many tattoos as he has. Ralph's fiance is tall, blond, and pretty. I was surprised that his group seemed to think he made the tuna.

Jessica is a lesbian. I didn't know that before tonight.

I thought that having the family telling the Chef what their favorite dish in front of the contestants was the wrong thing to do, because of the signals and body language coming from the 3 finalists.

I, for one, was not surprised at all that Jessica left. She was the obvious choice.

Ralph's fiance is "Buffy"?!?! you gotta be kidding! Buffy? Is she looking for gigs in soft-core or is the rest of her name "the vampire slayer"?!?!

I thought it pretty obvious from the first ep that Jessica was a lesbian. Not sure if I can tell you exactly what it was that made me realize it now, but it seemed striking at the time... Besides, she does look a bit like Rosie... (oh, I'm gonna catch h*ll for that line....)

Yeah, it did seem pretty cruel to have your own family throw you under the bus. In jessica's case, i dont think her family read any of her signals. In fact, if EVERYONE liked her chicken, I still think she was gonna get tossed because she cannot work under pressure...

I though Michael and Ralph worked very well together last night. I am still rooting for Michael.
I wanted to throw something at Ralph when he said that he had been holding back on the challenges so far. Yeah dude, that's why you acted like a spoiled 4 year old everytime you didn't win. *rolls eyes* Go Michael.

Agreed, Ralph's comment was pretty cheesy. Glad he finally won a challenge, though.

I am rooting for Ralph and can't wait for the finale. I really think he stands a better chance when the others come back and they pick teams. Ralph was a lot better with trying to help his team mates learn earlier in the competetion, while Michael was only worried about himself. So, I think Ralph's team will do better for him. Also, Michael was caught in some backstabbing and lies and his former team mates may still be holding grudges.

I think the right two are in the final, but I give it to Ralph by a nose. Go Ralph!!

Hoping for an HK2 with experienced contestants next time for real competition.

I do believe that each family member decided which dish they liked best BEFORE they got in front of the contestants. Remember they were filling out forms at their tables? I believe they had already decided and were just telling out loud what their choices were. Otherwise there would have been the possibility for cheating...

Jessica was useless last night. At this stage of the competition she should have known how to make the easiest of all the stations to be at: desserts! And what was with her problem in preparing the chicken??? If I had to choose from the 3 they had I would certainly have chosen the chicken. I must know 5 different really good ways to make it that are incredible. It's one of the easiest things to make and steaming or boiling or whatever she did was the absolute worst choice.

Ralph's fiance did look like she was going to do some pole dancing afterward... I was NOT expecting a volumptous blonde for Ralph. I honestly pictured a pudgy brunette...

Michael's wife was cute and the first thing I noticed was the tatoos. I guess either you love em or hate em...

Ralph crying to the camera about "holding back" on previous challenges made me laugh. PUHLEAZE! Can we say "SORE LOSER"???

I am excited for the finale and also hope that next season we actually get people with experience and NO MORE MOMS!!!!

Ralph has said enough of that type of shite all season for me NOT to root for him. Yes, Michael skinived, but that's what the game's about. I'll bet Michael prepares the more interesting dishes, overall.

I don't like either of them much, so I guess I'll applaud whoever creates the best restaurant concept. And I'll bet anyone a buck the new restaurant folds within one year of the show's finale.

Yes, without a doubt they were reiterating what they wrote. Ralph's girlfriend, I think, did him in . . . as SHE said at the table she liked the tuna & the filet and spit the chicken out in her napkin. And there was the clip of Ralph's mom who said the filet "was orgasmic!" (gross) Then, there was a clip of the girlfriend stating she knew what her fiance made. So, she must have told them it was the tuna and they all voted for that, assuming it was Ralph-Malph's. I thought it was funny how they played that out.

They were definitely stating what they already voted for. You could see the body language with the contestants to know when they were happy or not.

I believe they had already decided and were just telling out loud what their choices were. Otherwise there would have been the possibility for cheating...

I rewatched the episode and saw them filling out the papers, but missed the forms the first time. So, that was my mistake.

Jessica was useless last night. At this stage of the competition she should have known how to make the easiest of all the stations to be at: desserts! I must know 5 different really good ways to make it that are incredible. It's one of the easiest things to make and steaming or boiling or whatever she did was the absolute worst choice.

I guess she didn't learn much from her time there. I thought it was odd, too, that she didn't know how to make desserts. The steamed chicken just makes me think 'ick!'. I love chicken and have many ways of preparing it that make it yummy. Steaming a rolled up chicken breast with goat cheese sounds like it would take so much longer to cook, and time is of the essence during the service. It just didn't sound appetizing to me at all, so I can see why only one person (Jessica's sister, I think) voted for it.

The only thing I know about time and preparation of the chicken dish Jessica decided on is that all the time (or at least the majority) is in preparation. In order to stuff chicken it has to be pounded out and the rolled up. That is all the time other than cooking it. So, I think the thought process was a good one but I don't think she picked the right ingredients.

Part of my point was that the rolled up chicken would take longer to cook then flat pieces. Also, I don't like goat cheese, so I would never have chosen this entree. I would most likely have ordered the filet mignon.

I would have been SOL because I cannot stand fish, don't eat steak and can't stomach goat cheese... UGH! I guess I'm not dignified for one of Ramsey's restaraunts...

(At office Christmas parties when they'll have them at a fancy place, everyone else is eating calmari, escargo and frog's legs and here I am begging for a cheeseburger and fries! LOL)

Well, being a card carrying homosexual I HAVE to like goat cheese! but I prolly would have gone to the fillet. If it is cooked the way I like it...I prefer beef.

I am not sure the cooking time is important when commercial cooking is available. I think most places save time on the preparation and not the cooking time. Beef wellington has to be a bitch to make and make perfect but still they are doing it (the beef has to be cooked and it is wrapped in dough). That was what I am trying to say...does that make sense?

I would so love to try Gordon's beef wellington, but the cost may be prohibitive. I heard that a meal at his London restaurant will set you back $156 US, or something like 89 pounds in British money.

Beef can be cooked on the rare side and be okay to eat, but chicken cannot be pink, so it probably takes longer to cook. I love boneless chicken breast because it doesn't take so long to cook, but rolled and stuffed, it has to take longer.

I love boneless chicken breast because it doesn't take so long to cook, but rolled and stuffed, it has to take longer.

I am saying that I am not so sure this is the case. The fillets that has been have been 3-4 inches thick and keep in mind that they are wrapped in pastry dough. The chicken is rolled up but I am not so sure that it would be any thicker than the steak and it isn't cover in dough. Also, commercial ways of cooking things are far superior than our home kitchens.

I guess I am just not convinced enough to say that the cooking time was far longer than any of the other dishes based on commercial cooking techniques of today. Also, I would much rather wrap a steak with dough than to pound a chicken breast and then roll it up with cheese inside (also keep in mind that most wrapped chicken breast need some time to sit to ensure the meat doesn't unroll during cooking)
