Elsie surprised Chef Ramsey with her soup. The others were jealous.

I don't disagree with you at all. I just found that she grew on me and I found myself pulling for her big time. I really liked her.

I'm with you, Doc. She is probably one of my favorites too. But I disagree about her deserving to go home. Yes, she did poorly, I agree. But Chef said that they are a team and I think the other three left her out there to sink. This is the first week that I disliked Michael. He has been helpful and level headed throughout and I think he lost that last night. I know it's a competition but he disappointed me. I think Jessica needs to go. I don't think she can carry a restaurant. I think Michale, Ralph and Elsie could. I'm rooting for Michael just because I dislike Ralph so much. Sorry to see Elsie go tonight. I'm here for the party and I ain't leaving til they throw me out.

Hey Knockers, I think the thing that did Elsie in (or one of the reasons) is that when Chef asked her if she thought the others supported her that night she said yes. I think had she said no Chef would have gone off on them big time and Jessica would have gone home. I guess I have to be for Michael now

I was one of Elsie's biggest haters up until last night. Last night she was totally bulldozed over. The fact that the 3 sniveling brats in Hell's Kitchen besisdes her were so upset that she won really ticks me off. There's nothing I hate more than a sore loser. The fact that they all ganged up on her is not right. A kitchen is all about team-work. I really did like Michael until last night as well. His stock went so down in my book last night. Don't even let me get started on Ralph. If Ramsey gives him a kitchen, I don't know what I'll do but I'll be pissed!!! Jessica is a little baby who can't stand the heat in the kitchen. Right now it should be between Ralph and Michael, but throughout the whole show, Michael has been much stronger and consistant than Ralph... Oh, and what was with Jessica getting all ticked off about Elsie's soup? "You know, I really should have won Ralph. I made a dessert Ralph. My dish looked a lot better Ralph. I'm a crying little baby Ralph" Ugh!!! --Donna :~)

"There's nothing I hate more than a sore loser. The fact that they all ganged up on her is not right. A kitchen is all about team-work."I agree. I also was rather upset that Jessica was bragging to Chef that she shouldn't go home cause she did so well on the starters. But Michael and Ralph totally carried her! If they hadn't of helped her she would of crashed just like Elsie! I could tell that Ramsey picked up on the attitude of the three whiners when he first arrived back with Elsie from her reward. I just wish he would have come down on them a bit more for it since he was really emphasizing team work. And I wish Elsie would of had the guts to tell the truth about not being supported by the others. I guess my thinking is that if they had not helped Jessica as well as her then she should have kept quiet but because they singled her out she should have spoken up. I know their attitude towards her was a big factor in the poor dinner service. It was good to see how much Ramsey believed in her and I wish she would have taken that to heart and made a little come-back after she returned to the kitchen. But she was way too emotional by that time. It was interesting to see the reactions of the others after Elsie was asked to leave. Michael looked a little guilty and Jessica was a little hard to read-somewhere between relieved, guilty and smug. Ralph's attitude makes me mad, though. He thinks he's the golden child who deserves the restaurant and noone else does. Personally I think Michael would do better running a restaurant cause he's always noticing when someone needs help and just jumps right in. Okay, that's my two cents worth stretched out to a dollar.

And he really did a good job following directions during the challenge, when they were told to use all of the leftovers and he only used a small percentage of the ingredients.

Elsie lacks major experience for a restaurant of that level. She has to be helped by her peers way to much.... She would be more suited for a soup kitchen.

LOL -- I choked on my soup when I saw your post.I am sticking with my prediction that Ralph wins it all. My thoughts are that Ramsey "favored" Elsie with wins on a lot of challenges, because he liked & respected her for her determination and efforts. Never in a million years did I think she would or should win -- running a restaurant is tough, tough work -- I knew many chefs & restaurant managers of many restaurants in Philadelphia & not many people are cut out for the TIME & HARDWORK & STRESS of running a good restaurant. I notice that out of the kitchen, Ramsey seems very nice and easy going to everyone. So, I think he just wanted to reward Elsie for her trying out for this thing and she was like a chef's pet until he had to let her go.
