1. "RE: Ishe Smith vs Ahmed? Where did it start?" |
In the first episode when Ahmed was practicing sparring in the Contender gym, Ishe started trash talking and getting inside Ahmeds head. It bugged Ahmed, but he didn't say much back. Now it has escalated into what you saw last night.

2. "RE: Ishe Smith vs Ahmed? Where did it start?" |
There is a recap of episode 1 here:Yahoo!_recap_episode_1 Here is the part where it started:
TRASH TALK The contenders weren't the only ones watching. Tommy, Sylvester and Sugar Ray were present on the floor, carefully studying the young guns. Tommy seemed particularly impressed with Ahmed: "He may not be the greatest fighter, but he can be the greatest fighter." As Ahmed brutally attacked his sparring buddy, the entire gym stopped to watch his fists fly. One boxer refused to be intimidated: Ishe, who gleefully taunted Ahmed. "Keep touching him brother! Get some!" he goaded. Later, in an interview, Ishe revealed his strategy: "I'll kill him psychologically." Ahmed broke the session to holler back at him. "I'll beat your #####, you just come on man," he threatened. "Don't worry about me, worry about that thunder you're dealing with!" Ishe mocked.
"I'll never lose to you," Ahmed yelled from the ring. Ishe beamed as Ahmed struggled to get his head back in the ring. Sugar Ray and Tommy realized the effect Ishe was having on Ahmed was intentional. "I got a great mind and I thank God for that. And I'm going to use it to my advantage," Ishe said later in an interview. Ahmed finished his session and got out of the ring, but he couldn't get Ishe out of his head. "I'll take you anytime," he threatened. Turning to Tommy, Ahmend claimed, "I know I'm professional. I don't have to worry about him." But the grizzled trainer wasn't buying it. "You're already worried about him, because that's all you're doing, talking about him," he said.
