PepeLePew13 24731 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 06-24-13, 08:11 AM (EST) "The Dumbest Fan Base Anywhere" Apologies go to Bebo and any other Orioles fans out there, but I got to put this out there... Back story: Game 1 - The Blue Jays are facing the Orioles in game 1 of their series and after a strikeout, Jose Bautista immediately turned to go toward his dugout, but the pitcher Darren O'Day was barking at him for some reason. Bautista said, "What did you say?" before the umpire escorted him off the field. No dispute that O'Day was the instigator here. Game 2 - Bautista goes up against O'Day again with a runner on base and a tie game 2-2 in the 8th inning. Boom. Go-ahead HR. As he's rounding third base, Bautista gives it back to O'Day with a "bye bye" motion. Instigator - Bautista, with reason. Game 3 - Every time Bautista goes up to bat, the fans serenade him with "Jose ... Jose ... Jose". This is where it gets funny. Over on the Orioles blogs and within the CBS game glogs, their fans are all up in arms, saying that stupid Canadians are chanting "O'Day ... O'Day ... O'Day" when Bautista goes up to bat. Could Oriole fans possibly be that dumb? Stadium chanting "O'Day" Heckling him because Bautista is at the plate. I can't wait to give this team some payback. A sample of some of the replies to this: I sincerely hate Canadians more each day. I think Jays fans are significantly worse than the average Canadian. Really...Canadians are fine unless they're at a sporting event. As soon as they enter one of those, they become classless idiots. See: Vancouver riots. It's too messy over on Camden Chat to link to but here's a sampling: O'Day chant? What is happening?!?! Canadians are sarcastic little flappy-headed m-----f---ers. (Someone replied: "They were saying Jose", but the rest of the fans ignore this reply and keep piling on) Oh... and go Jays go! 11 in a row! "RE: The Dumbest Fan Base Anywhere" Putting this here rather than to edit an already-long post... This is the same fanbase that is still upset at Cito Gaston 20 years later for not putting Mike Mussina into the 9th inning of an all-star game, even though Cito and Johnny Oates (then the O's manager) agreed before the game that Mussina would be held back as the emergency pitcher and Mussina himself admitted to fanning the flames when he knew he wasn't coming in.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I can't commit at this point until closer to the time, but that would seem to be a good time to come down for a game along with my son - maybe even see if I can time it for a Kershaw start, too. Looking forward to the Red >Sox series starting on Thursday. So were the Red Sox, who won 3 out of 4 as part of an 8 wins out of 9 games home stand. That means the Jays followed up that 11-0 streak with a 3-8 street, including the games in Boston plus dropping 2 out of 3 in Tampa and 3 out of 4 to Detroit. As of right now, the Jays are 3 games under .500, 11 games behind the Red Sox in the AL East, and even 4.5 games behind the Rays for 4th.
