"Little League Baseball/Softball All-Star Selection Process - Opinions Needed" |
I am currently serving on the Little League Board of Directors. One of our major projects during the fall and winter going into spring is to develop a new selection process for our baseball/softball All-Stars. The softball side isn't as needed; however, we want to be consistent with both sides.The current system is too flawed. It's too full of politics and daddy-ball. When a dads' egos come before actual ability and talent, there is a problem. Even our awesome 12 year-old team that was basically one out away from the Little League World Series was flawed. We are looking for what other leagues do? If any of you are involved in LL, your opinions are welcome.
