"The other side of Penn State's opener...GO BOBATS!"
For all the talk about Penn State - and rightfully so, given that the school harbored a child-molesting fvckwad for 14 years, and for all the people saying the players were victims in this case...and they kind of were, but they had the chance to transfer...one thing gets overlooked: Their opponent is looking like the beginning of something awesome.

Ohio University, fresh off the first bowl win in school history, is going from a perennial loser to a legitimate mid-major, and they showed it with a big win over Penn State today. The Bobcats, a.k.a. the football team of my alma mater, have a long way to go, but this could be the start of the next TCU, a team that makes the leap into national legitimacy.

STAND UP AND CHEER! GO BOBCATS! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

And yet, the story in Athens is another chance to get wasted.

Just stepping in to say.... ROLLLLLL TIDE!

That was a major butt-kicking last night - Michigan may be one of the best two or three teams of the Big Ten but it shows that the Big Ten has a long, long way to go before they can consider themselves as serious BCS contenders.

Unfortunately, the best team in the Big 10 is on probation this year and can't play in the championship game.

Michigan has one exceptional player: Denard Robinson. Alabama focused on him, and that was the game, because Alabama had a huge advantage in line play.

You've got to figure that Michigan State and Nebraska will fight for the one division, while Wisconsin will win the other division almost by default.
