Just got news that Fred Jackson for the Bills is out for the season on injured reserve. What was at first thought to be a minor calf injury turned into a fractured fibula. As a draft gem who went in the later rounds, he was the #4 RB only behind Foster, Rice and McCoy, consistently scoring roughly 16 FF points/week.
What every fantasy football player dreads for any of their star players is something that looks like this:

Alas, I don't have a cleric in my FF party.

Yeah. My team in the Naked league is going downhill rather rapidly. AP's out, lost Freddie for the season, and Gore + Stevie Johnson are a little hobbled with injuries. I had Cutler until a couple weeks ago and he's likely gone for the regular season as well.

I decided to not purchase tickets for this week's Colts game against Carolina. Who knows, I may also decide to not watch the game on TV.
The problem is that there won't be a CBS AFC game aired against the Colts game, meaning I may have to defer my football fix until 4:05.

Right now, it looks like the Raiders made a great deal getting Carson Palmer from the Bengals when they did, because there are a couple of teams (Chicago, Houston) that would make a competitive bid for him right now.

That's all? I was expecting higher. I remember the Pats were a 22-or-so point favourite over the Eagles back in 2007 during the days when Brady and Belichick were hell-bent on running up the score ... and the Eagles were nowhere near as bad as the Colts are at the moment. Belichick will never turn down a chance to steamroll an archrival such as the Colts, even if it's a down year for them.
