PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

For next season I would love to see a team of just overweight people vs. a team of obese people. There is a definate split in the BMI chart at which this is defined. They would have to start out competing for percentage of weight lost of course. But that way people like Dana and Lizzeth could last longer in the game, we would learn more about healthy weight loss, and by the end of the game we may have some people at their ideal body weight. It seems to me most of America is just in the overweight category and not all the way to obese yet so more might watch if the contestants were more like them.

Chubby people are prosaic. Obese people are funny.

Thanks, thndr. But I'm not joking. I believe the contestants should start eating each other. The real intellectual work then would be debates about who to save for last: someone with a lot of lard, like a Mo type, or someone lean, like a Gary type. There's a question of preparation (in a pot over a fire--something fun and outdoorsy--or on the grill, or perhaps a nice roast with some fresh tasty vegetables). And then there's the paramount question of diet, and one must take into account simple taste preferences. I guess this is where the trainer's expertise would figure prominently: are your people on the adkins fast loss high fat diet, or are you preparing them for a lifetime of health, you know, more south beachy, in which case you'd probably want to eat Gary
