"Biggest Loser Cookbook"
Hi everyone. I got the Biggest Loser cookbook the other day from Amazon. It's got some amazing recipes and some personal stories and tips from all the past and current seasons' cast, including the special edition folks like the engaged couples, families and Navy/Marine wives. Most of the recipes look quite good and they also talk about the Biggest Loser diet.

The only thing that bugged me was that there was no mention whatsoever of Jillian...it's like she never existed. I haven't seen the other versions of the previous books and cookbooks and I assume she is in them, but I felt bad that she was completely left out of the whole new cookbook even though all the past "cast" were included... She has done so much for all the participants...except the current batch...so it just seemed wrong she was not mentioned.

However..it's still a great book with lots of great recipes and tips and worth checking out! (and no, I don't work for the company, just inspiring to become a "biggest loser" myself...)

What I really like about this cookbook is that most of the recipes make one or two servings. And, very few make multiple servings. That's what's been keeping me from using most "healthy" cookbooks. When I'm cooking just for myself, recipes that serve four, six, and even eight, just don't make sense.

You can size up or size down recipies quite easily. Just multiply (or divide) the amount of each ingredient. So, if you've got a recipe that serves 4 and you want to cook for just two, you can divide all the ingredients by two (e.g., 2 cups flour becomes 1 cup flour). Or, you could cook the entire recipe, and then freeze half of it. That way, you've got a meal in the freezer for next week/month, and all you have to do is heat it up. Convenient!
