If there's interest in writing summaries, I'll be glad to organize it. Is there interest? Remember folks, due to the Olympics, The Biggest Loser SE, The Bachelor, and Dancing with the Stars are going to be just about the only reality shows (*) for which we've previously done summaries that are going to premiere before February 28 so the early winter pickings are pretty slim! * Ya, American Idol will be on too, but we don't normally start doing sumamries until the live performance shows start, and those won't begin until February 21 Below's a copy of my current list of 2006 reality show premieres -- or at least what I considered to be the somewhat "notable" ones: Celebrity Fit Club 3 - VH1 - Sunday, January 1

Just a note though that it looks like rather than air The Biggest Loser SE weekly for six weeks, NBC has apparently decided to make tonight's episode a two-hour premiere and instead air the show weekly for the next four weeks. Also, despite NBC's previous announcements stating otherwise, these shows will apparently NOT be "standalone" or "self-contained" -- each special edition will apparently feature two one-hour episodes, with the first hour featuring the contestants at the Loser ranch for ten days and the second hour back at home. And despite the network's previous announcements that Caroline Rhea, Bob Harper, and Jillian Michaels wouldn't be involved in the Special Edition episodes, they apparently are. Below is NBC's latest media info about the series -- Apparently tonight's "Family vs. Family" format was actually Episode 104 Building on the success of "The Biggest Loser," NBC offers "The Biggest Loser: Special Edition" based on the hit series where teams vie for a $50,000 prize. The series will premiere as a two-hour special on Wednesday, Jan. 4 (8-10 p.m. ET) where two competing teams will face off as they train with Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels for 10 days before returning home to practice the new healthy lifestyle that they learned. Each episode after the January 4 premiere will consist of two parts. The first hour will follow each team as they begin their weight-loss journey on "The Biggest Loser" ranch -- ending with a weigh-in and prize. The following week's episode will follow the contestants in the real world and reveal the team that has not only lost the greatest percentage of weight, but has also won the grand prize. Caroline Rhea, ("Sabrina, the Teenage Witch") returns from "The Biggest Loser" series to host these special editions. January 4, 2006 (two-hour premiere, 8-10 p.m. ET) -- Family vs. Family: The Muha family from Tampa, Florida vs. The Samuel family from Atlanta, Georgia. These two families will have a dessert battle in the desert along with a healthy food pop quiz from Bob and Jillian as they fight for $50,000. January 11, 2006 (9-10 p.m. ET) Part I - Engaged Couples: Steve and Sarah from Allentown, Pennsylvania vs. Edwin and Rasha from Portland, Oregon. Two engaged couples must battle to lose the weight before their wedding day, but only one couple will walk away with a dream wedding worth $50,000. January 18, 2006 (9-10 p.m. ET) Part II -- The finale of engaged couples Steve and Sarah from Allentown, Pennsylvania vs. Edwin and Rasha from Portland, Oregon. I was figuring one summary per week like all the other shows -- I believe the only times we've tended to combine multiple episodes into one summary is when a show airs multiple episodes in the same week (ie. Big Brother, Idol.)
