No spoiler info, but an interesting question. So I’m watching last nights re-run and I got to thinking, Wow poor old Sayid has had it pretty rough while here on the island. He was attacked by Sawyer under suspicion of terrorism, whacked on the head while trying to triangulate the signal, stabbed in the leg by a tree branch, drugged, electrocuted, and drugged again. He seemed pretty wiped out when he gets back to camp after his time with Danielle. What a miserable time. Of course no-one has had it easy. Sawyer has been tortured and stabbed through the arm, Jack had his butt whipped by Ethan, Jin has had a fight or two, Hurley had his encounter with a sea urchin (not to mention is ‘bathroom’ issues), and of course Charlie was hung by the neck and had to be resuscitated. So who has had it worst? Who has had the hardest time on the island? Who maybe wishes that they had just died in the crash? Who do you think and why?  TenPin

I work part time in the labor and delivery dept. at the local hospital. The thought of giving birth out in the wild is pretty scary. I have heard screams coming from labor rooms that make me glad I am not female and can't be pregnant. TenPin

A couple of others come to mind. Other then the ones already mentioned.
The lady who went for a swim and found herself in a rip-tide. After 3 separate rescue attempts fail. She succumbs to exhaustion and finally drowns. The Pilot, after sitting in the drivers seat and basically living the crash, he is found/rescued a day later barely hanging onto life only to quickly be turned into monster fodder and left in a tree.
 The marshall. After the crash reveals the marshall has been impaled with a large shard of metal. He goes septic and writhes around in pain and agony until he finally succumbs to death. However, even after burial the guy is dug up again and looted.
I think the marshall has suffered the most.  Sn'DCS©MMIV
