It's because Cuban's methods create a smoke screen. He seems interested in reactions based on emotions which would seemingly give us the end result of "do you have what it takes." But the results are actually skewed because the main and only motivator is money. Not all decisions in life are based on money. He makes it sound like the only reason people get up in the morning is to go out and make money, and/or the only reason he/others go into business is to make money. I noticed that he is all alone in his mansion, and he said he hasn't taken a vacation in years. He's lopsided. He recruited those people, so he could try and figure out what he's doing wrong. He is well aware that he doesn't have it all, but he doesn't want you to know that. He admonished the buff chick with the NY accent because she was living in style. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't she say she grew up in poverty, not necessarily still living in poverty? Based on what he conveniently overlooks, he's the type of guy who would write about book about Princess Diana, make a billion dollars by exploiting her death, and not share any of the proceeds with the royal family. Granted, the royal family is rich and they don't need the money per se, but an honerable author would share the proceeds appropriately. Even if the Royal Family didn't want the money, they could donate it to charity in order to turn his blood money into something positive. He hides behind the fact that it's a game, but if he was really a good natured person, he would at least reimburse the participants for game-related expenses and/or lost wages while playing. He never will - he's a user. I think people were rooting for the underdog, and the educated lady ended up winning. She has taken a different path in life, so we was able more easily identify to say the things that Cuban wanted to hear. It's as if Cuban used only their reaction at the end to decide who gets the money, and he forgot all about past efforts. Yes she grew up in poverty, but she also said that she wasn't well off and that the money could be used to help her mom. It seems to me that she would have the money to help her mom without Cuban's help. Plus she pretty much admitted to lying when she said that she should of showed Cuban a different house other than her own. I'll give it to ya that Linda probably had the balls to do it! The entire basis for letting people go on the show was so subjective it was laughable. I dont blame her for trying - matter of fact good for her - but dont ##### about it when it blows up in your face. I don't think he enjoys enough of a variety of things to find the benefit in going to college. If nothing else, expanding his horizons would make him a better song writer, that is, if he's serious about his music. It was hard to tell. He's a simple man and too laid back. He lacks maturity and drive. He's probably too influenced by his current lifestyle and group of buddies to be like Cuban. He was probably just out for a free ride. He had no real plan for the money other than to be a party dude on the beaches on Mexico. I will say this, he does seem good natured. I love that he gave that little boy his necklace. On that premise alone, I would have loved to have seen him defeat Femia. The only argument in Linda's defense would be if she said it because she's a humble person and doesn't want to brag about her computer knowledge. But in her case, I don't think she lied because she didn't want to brag. She seems like the type of person who would lie to get an edge in a competition. That's what happens when you are forced to squeeze 180 minutes of planned footage into 60 minutes: http://www.realitytvworld.com/index/articles/story.php?s=2984 When I saw them completely cut the other home visits I thought wow, they're serious with these cuts -- only to see them, justa few seconds later, wasting minute after minute on dumb "suspense building" drama. I think if they had re-edited the WHOLE footage of the three episodes they could have done a much better job with the editing -- instead it looked like instead of re-editing every individual segment and removing unnecessary material, the producers took a "what the ####" approach (figuring the show was cancelled anyways) and decided to just stick entire previously edited segments of the last three episodes together. The fact that they learned of the cancellation a week before Ep5 aired and yet still opted to air Ep5 as originally designed (rather than re-edit it to include some of the original Ep6's footage and better balance the reduction in airtime) just seemed to reinforce this point. Sorry Electro, but with the man-crush Cuban had on Dominic, he could have said 'dude' 10 times in each sentence and it would not have mattered. Say what you will about Cuban being a geek, dork, whatever, the man did not get to be a billionaire by making stupid business decisions like choosing possible/wannabe friendship over common- and not so common-sense. Femia had both. And, unlike the lying, conniving Linda, she was honest, sincere, and resilient (the last interview where she basically said "I'm miserable that I lost, but I'll get over it and move on"). Cuban was looking for what it takes to succeed in life - Femia had it. The drive, determination, ambition, WILL to win, pleasing personality, beauty, not brilliant but a goodly amount of intelligence, and the greatest indicator of success there is -- LUCK (as when someone remarked that although the quarterback at a charity benefit won the passing contest, he won it with a lucky pass, the quarterback laughed and said, "I'd rather be lucky than talented"). It was a low-level competition, but Femia won it, fair and square. P.S.
