"The Apprentice 2 Episode 4 NBC press release"
SPECIAL WEDNESDAY "APPRENTICE" FEATURES THE RETURN OF BILL TO THE BOARDROOM

A SPECIAL WEDNESDAY "APPRENTICE" DISHES UP DRAMA AS CANDIDATES FEED ON THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS WORKING WITH ZAGAT SURVEY (SEPTEMBER 29, 9-10PM ET)

BILL RANCIC, THE FIRST "APPRENTICE", RETURNS TO THE BOARDROOM...THIS TIME ON THE OTHER SIDE

NEW YORK -- September 28, 2004 –- The knives are literally out on episode four of NBC's "The Apprentice" when candidates are assigned to staff, design and run a Manhattan restaurant (Wednesday, Sept. 29, 9-10pm ET). They have two days to get the restaurant fully operational and then one night to open for business. The team whose patrons grant them the highest Zagat Survey ratings will win. Zagat Survey ratings take into effect Food, Decor and Service, all weighted equally.

One team struggles with design problems and a difficult project manager while the other team really begins to gel as a unit and comes up with a creative way of using sex to sell. In this episode, Bill Rancic, the first "Apprentice" winner, returns to the boardroom in place of George Ross and ruthlessly demonstrates why he is working for Trump. Carolyn Kepcher loses her patience and a major alliance is broken.

"MOSAIC": Pamela, Raj, John, Chris, Kelly, Andy, Wes, and Kevin

"APEX": Ivana, Jennifer C., Jennifer M., Stacy R., Sandy, Elizabeth and Maria

Week 4 Boardroom Exemption: Kevin

"Zagat Survey's reviews are based on the collective opinions of real people and, like our typical surveyors, the diners in this episode are brutally honest," said Nina and Tim Zagat, co-founders of Zagat Survey. "Running a great restaurant is about much more than good food. What these teams learn is that hospitality and atmosphere are key ingredients to success in this business."

This sounds like the women to me.

When you're good to Mama...Mama's good to you.

Wait a minute, men can be very sexy!

But I agree it sounds more like the women. I can not begin to imagine Pamela using sex to sell!

Hmmm, my guess is that it's Mosaic that 'begins to gel as a unit' and has creative sex, too. What's wrong with a bunch of hunky men (well... John is kinda cute... and Andy too, if you're young enough...) flirting with the female customers. They don't seem to be having the same rate of personality clashes as Apex, at least we haven't seen any. No one seems to be isolated...

That leaves Apex with design probs and difficult PM... Yep, I do think that fits. PM - Maria? Jen C? heh, heh... Stacy R, the small but bossy? Design probs? Everyone wants it THEIR way, everyone talks at once, nobody listens?

We've been through 3 challenges already and never a PM gets fired... What gives? Some new trend from The Don? Elizabeth, Ivana just skipped home free. I think it's time for a PM to pay for their faults.

The men could hire some women to sell sex. Maybe they have the waitresses or hostess do something?

I don't see the women's team geling at all. I'd say the men's team is starting to gel.

Difficult project manager? Take your pick.

Carolyn loses patience with one of the women, I bet. Maybe Ivana? She's screwed up twice now.

Carolyn Kepcher loses her patience and a major alliance is broken.

I just love it when Carolyn socks it to 'em. Who have we seen in alliance? The only one I can think of is Ivana and Maria.

Really hope its not the women who begin gelling....I'm rooting for the men!
