"Fantasia Book News"
I have read several articles here and there about Fantasia and a book about her life.

Here is one article from MSN
http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=202975>1=6955

I am glad that her Idol Fame has made such a huge difference in her life.
I can't imagine how difficult it must be to cover up, to have to fake, being able to read.
I admire her courage, to be so honest about it.

I wasn't a fan when she was on Idol, I didn't like her voice, but Good For Her!
I wish her success.

I too could not believe what I was hearing. I caught the tail end of the interview she did with ABC. I thought for sure I had heard wrong. I admire her courage to come forward with her illiteracy which I'm sure was something that must have been very hard to do. I am glad she was willing to do that because I know there must be so many others like her out there and this can only encourage them that it is never too late to learn to read. She dictated the story to a freelance author. In time, she will be able to read her own book!!! Good for you Fantasia!!!

Fantasia seems like a perfect example of talent and self-respect. The more obstacles she has had to overcome, the more heroic she appears. She seems very impressive for a young woman just barely out of her teens. As for her reading disabilities, the teachers should have noticed that very early in her school enrollment. Some people have been able to sue the school system for that kind of neglect. She is being very gracious not to do so. What a positive role model she continues to be. Everyone can look up to her, and her daughter must be especially proud of her young, accomplished mother.
