"JP molfetta"
What did you think of him and the decision??
He's back and he left his heart in San Francisco. Not to be outdone by his twin, the egomeister endures another few days of stadium-sleeping and wannabe-listening to fulfill this dream of his and restore his pride. He also says in the post-interview that he had said before the audition that he would jump out of a window if he doesn't get thru.* (continued below results)

Randy - you have some pitch problems.
Simon - "I think there's a hint of desperation about you".
Paula - you sang better last time.
JP - some blathering about being better than the others
Randy - ... Yeah, but that was earlier, we've seen much better singers since then.
Randy - no
Brandi - yes
Paula - reluctant yes
Simon - no
JP- "can i sing something else?" starts singing and continues thru the judges comments...
Simon - that's a no. no, that's a no. Thanks, but that's a no.

*JP - I said before that I'd jump a window if I didn't get in, but that's not going to happen now.

So, what does America (and beyond) say? I say good riddance.

Well, I was the first person to really go to bat for JP here and I have to say that I agree with Randy and Paula. He sounded better before and even then didn't sound as good as his brother.

I agree with Randy that they have heard better singers since he was on the first time.

However, I like JP better than that guy that sang We Are The Champions. I didn't like that guy and I don't think he will make it through the next round.

I don't know if that guy will be able to sing anything else, but he did an awesome Freddie Mercury impersonation.

He's way too whiney. I didn't like him. His attitude was just yucky and he totally rubbed me the wrong way, BUT I didn't think he was really any worse than some of the others than they let through.

next week looks good!

I wasn't impressed by any of JP's auditions.

I also wasn't impressed by the Freddy Mercury wannabe or the farm boy in the overalls.

He sang OK, a little pitchy in spots. We've seen much, much better male singers. I don't think he would make it to the top 32, so why bother sending him to Hollywood.

Plus his name sounds like a cheese.

Although, I guess his twin brother has the same last name.

I Think everyone is missing the most important proble...I agree that his audition could have been better,But he got 2 yes votes and didnt go to hollywood but b4 him another auditioner got 2 yes votes and went to hollywood..Is it because Brandy's vot e really didnt matter and all the guest judges are there for ratings only...Didn't anyone see this happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. Yes, I wondered about this too, and it happened at earlier auditions. I just read somewhere that Simon has the decision in case of a tie, and that must be what was happening.
Simon + Gene = NO to molfettas
Simon + Randy = NO to JP
Simon + Paula = yes to striperella

Yes, the guest judge has no power. I think even Simon may have some say if Paul and Randy say no.

I thought JP was better than many who got thru, but he had no chance of making it to the semifinals, so who cares except for him.

Now I would have liked to see that.
