"Mad Mad Play-at-home!"
Okay--I didn't think of this until my DH walked into the TV room naked while Avocado was doing his Challenge.

I'm going to play along, as best I can, during the challenges and stuff. Drink when the TOPs drink. Strip when the Alts strip. Write stuff. Burn stuff. When they are buried in entrails, I plan to whip out a few cans of red spray string so DH and I can "bury" each other. I love play from home games!

Will post what I would have written for Fiona's Greatest Fear Challenge in a bit.

Anybody else want to play?

Also, what did our Wiccan posters think last night? I know you are watching this, Draco! What did you think of Fiona's ritual? My DH was very disappointed the she did not go Sky-clad, LOL.

I thought it was fine. They edited out some basic ritual stuff it seemed, like actually casting the circle, but calling the elements/quarters was pretty right on. I've never been involved in a ritual where a sword was used like that, but I've read about it. All in all good stuff. Seemed like some (Noel, Nichole) were more into it than others (Kelly, Eric), but it seemed effective. I've done magick like that before.

I do applaud Brent for respectfully staying out of the circle if he couldn't handle it. Rather he be on the outside watching than inside disrupting the energies inside.

BTW, what she was chanting towards the end? The names of various Goddesses from what I could tell.

I thought it was very well done, all in all. There was definitely magick in the air there.

Thanks, Draco. I wasn't sure about the sword thing either--I thought it looked too "TV".

Good for Noel, showing his scar and all. I thought Nichole did move on to a personal sincerety, after writing about murder & child abuse and non-personal, PC stuff in her scroll. Kelly was interesting--I thought her feelings were real (as shown by her facial expressions), but she rejected them and went for the fake scream instead of a real response.

I never thought of someone like Brent disrupting the energies if he participated from game-greed, with a closed mind. So, how can anyone who will not participate in Wiccan rituals possibly win? Certainly Fiona is rejecting the non-participants. So Brent, Loana & Bonnie must be the next ones voted off? Unless they open up.

I know (or think I know, lol) that a Circle is the basic, sacred form for Wiccan rites--but is there a way for Fiona to include people like Brent (who want to remain on the outside) in a sacred rite?

Np. Swords are mainly used in high ceremonial magick. Normally one would just use a dagger like the one she showed briefly at the beginning.

That's what I thought. The initial part was real, but when she actually had to "claim" it, she went into acting mode.

She kinda did it. She cast an "inner" circle for those who REALLY wanted to participate (or at least wanted to look good for the Alts) and let the others stay outside, but still included. That said, to really get anything out of it, they would have to go into the inner circle.

But then, I only ever cast one anyways, for me and DW, so I don't know for sure. But one thing that we are told at group circles that you cannot enter or leave once the circle has been cast without the person who cast it "opening" it for you then closing it behind you.

Didn't they do that sword thing in the movie "The Craft"? I thought it sounded very familiar.

3. "Nobody Wants to Play?"
This is what I would have written, in the Greatest Fear scroll...

By chance, I meet up with this gorgeous guy I have lusted after for years. We have a few drinks, really connect with each other. I am so happy as we head up to my room. We start to undress and oh sh!t I have a 50 year old body! When did that happen? My (37 year old) lust object screams like Billy Crystal did in the Oscars' opening number. I don't want to be old!!! NOOOOO!!!!!!

So I scream "Nooooo" and Fiona burns my scroll. But I'm faking it. I. do. not. want. to get. old, damn it! I fail the test. No way in hell am I going to do a Noel and show everyone my body. Too old.

I'll drink the warm blood, I'll be buried in intestines (yuck), I'll even hang from a hook in the ceiling (which I have actually done, just not by own flesh), but please don't make me get naked on TV!

Will no one else reveal their Greatest Fear?

I was raised to be a very good Catholic girl. My mother raised me to beleive that nudity is nasty and disgusting.

My worst fear is to be seen naked. I know that the person I was when I was 25 years old, would have never revealed her naked body, to a bunch of strangers to release her fear. I would like to think that I have grown as a person over the years and learned my own truths. Now that I am older than dirt, with a crappy old body, I would like to think that I would have stripe down naked and released my fear. Whether I really would have or not, I really don’t know.
