Let's break it down...(and I am black by the way).Photos both great but Joanie gets the edge. She is more versatile and (as it seems) requires little or no direction.
Personality and presence: Danielle. She seems more approachable and move lively. Could be that she is more willing to smile. Joanie isnt as use to it due to the teeth issue.
Runway: Danielle has a better runway walk.
Commercial: Hands down, Joanie. No further elaboration needed.
I find them both beautiful, wonderful, exciting young women. I would have given Joanie the edge overall. I am happy for Danielle because she did great yet I am so sad for Joanie. She was gracious in defeat.
Why Danielle? Not sure. Race a factor? Is it possible that the show was trying to make up for Nik not winning last cycle? Nicole winning came completely out of nowhere. And I do mean nowhere. Its possible that race was the reason.
How about the denegration of southerners and how the show seemed to portray them? Did this show feel as if it needed to make up for the scathing criticism of the southern accent? I am thinking that that was more the reason.
Blondes are not having a great time on the show. Shannon, Kahlen, (even Nik if you want to include her), and now Joanie.
And of course I believe a blonde should have won the first cycle but unfortunately we cant go back in time to correct that wrong.
Will there be a 7th cycle? How about thirteen contestants that despite race are required to have blonde hair? And no I don't mean you Jade.
